* MemeticMutation: "Play it Again, D.W." is almost a meme episode in and of itself. It's particularly popular with WebAnimation/YouTubePoop creators, since you can pretty much replace "Crazy Bus" with any song ever and it would still be funny.

* IdiotPlot: Both of these episodes, so much.
** "Buster Baxter, Cat Saver": The entire episode is hinged on the fact that Buster is praised up the wazoo for...saving a cat from a tree. The story getting front page news is ridiculous but at least makes sense since Buster's mom works for the Newspaper. The citizens of Elwood City praising Buster for saving a cat however is just plain hard to swallow. It's pretty hard to not be frustrated along with Arthur and his friends considering the ''full blame'' rests on the townspeople for building up Buster so much.
** "Play it Again, D.W.": Dave and Jane do ''absolutely nothing'' for this whole episode to curb D.W. from being disruptive with her song. Dave even wears hearing protection to cancel it out, so it's clear that he's also affected by it, but he still doesn't bother to do anything about D.W.'s behavior. On top of that, Arthur takes the bulk of the punishment when he's not the only one at fault. Sure, he shouldn't have threatened to break D.W.'s CD, but they could have at least come with a compromise instead of just grounding Arthur over it.

it got front page news because Buster's mom works for the local newspaper

** "Buster Baxter, Cat Saver": The entire episode is hinged on the fact that Buster is praised up the wazoo for...saving a cat from a tree. For whatever reason, it's such an unheard of story that it demands front page news and Buster deserves to be called a hero. It's pretty hard to not be frustrated along with Arthur and his friends considering the ''full blame'' rests on the townspeople for building up Buster so much.

Eh, maybe not

* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: The whole "Crazy Bus Live" scene seems really tacked on. It doesn't further the plot in any meaningful way, Buster's liking to the song isn't ever mentioned again, and the ImagineSpot, while funny, also doesn't foreshadow anything about the episode either. At the next scene, everything is pretty much forgotten and the plot moves onward like normal. The only thing it really helps to do is build up Arthur's frustration with D.W., which was already well-established earlier on.
