** Also hilarious in hindsight from that, is Steven did a dance similar to the dance that Music/Psy did in his song "Gangnam Style." Although, not really given that "Gangnam Style" came out in 2012 and "Dude Looks Like a Lady" came out in 1987.

* OlderThanTheyThink: Because of the band's fade during the early 80s and resurgence in the later part of the decade and the beginning of the 90s, it's not uncommon for younger people to not realize just how long the band has been around, and to only be familiar with their music from the 90s forward.

not YMMV, and No Real Life Examples

** "Living on the Edge" at the 1994 Castle Donnington Monsters of Rock festival. The outdoor venue is on a main flight path and the band timed the song so that a 747 flew low overhead at the exact point of the musical break in the song before continuing.

Hey, this is YMMV, so it\'s fair game, right?

Added DiffLines:

** Not with the Diane Warren-penned songs, that's for sure.

Added DiffLines:

** The Less Interesting Three get some good representation on the classic albums. On Get Your Wings, Kramer co-wrote "Pandora's Box". On Toys in the Attic, Hamilton co-wrote "Sweet Emotion" and Whitford co-wrote "Round and Round". And on Rocks, Whitford co-wrote "Last Child" and "Nobody's Fault" and Hamilton co-wrote "Sick as a Dog". One could almost make the argument that Whitford and Hamilton are responsible for Aerosmith's highest moments on the MohsScaleOfRockAndMetalHardness.

* TearJerker: The video for "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing", at the very end, has Liv Tyler reaching out to touch Steven Tyler (her father) through the TV monitors, before the band's performance goes to static. Considering this is from Armageddon the movie, she looks heartbroken... and considering that Liv didn't even know Steven was her father until she was nine...
** In terms of their music, "Janie's Got a Gun" and "Uncle Salty" are big time Tear Jerkers when you pay attention to the lyrics.
** "Hole in My Soul" also deserves a mention. The music video sums a lot showing nerdy guy getting heartbroken thanks to spoiled popular girls and abusive jocks.
** When played in the right context, "Dream On" can be one.

Watch It Stoned doesn\'t apply here. The pothole exists because is misused Watch It Stoned\'s old name Everythings Better On Drugs.

* BrokenBase: Some say the band was better when they were all on drugs, others say they started sucking in the 90s, still others say they started sucking with Just Push Play, still others like all their material. Also, with the recent fights between Steven and Joe, the fanbase seems to be siding with either Steven or Joe. Also, AmericanIdol: excellent PR move or terrible sell-out move for Steven? You decide.

* IAmNotShazam: Steven's name is not Aerosmith. This is only really a problem in people that aren't fans of the band or only know Steven as the judge from AmericanIdol. It's still a pretty bad idea to call Steven "Aerosmith" around fans of the band, though.

Belongs on the Fetish Fuel Wiki.

* FetishFuel: Since Steven's debut on American Idol, more than a few teenage girls have admitted he's made them have a thing for older men. Make of that what you will.
** Not helped by the fact that Steven imitates some very sexual sounding moans in "Walk on Water."

* JumpingTheShark: Some would argue that Steven Tyler has done this. Others would argue that he's just giving his 60+ year old body a break by doing something nonstrenuous. Others don't give a shit and just dig the music. YourMileageMayVary as to who's right.
