* IrrationalHatred: Screwing Datlon Castle so Bullet Club can get the ROH Six Man Tag belts? That makes sense. Deny Castle when he accepts your open challenge for an ROH World Title shot. Questionable but not unusual. Screwing him out of a chance to win the television title belt held by KUSHIDA, when he was going to pin a member of a rival stable to do it? Not only is that pointless to the point of being counterproductive, it's also denotes a pattern. Cody hates Dalton Castle...for some reason.

** Cody didn't feel that Sanada deserved as shot at his title while he was ROH World Champion. Wrestling/TheYoungBucks pointed out that Sanada had beaten Toru Yano, leaving Cody to laugh, for a really long time.

** He claimed in a shoot the "undashing" character was supposed to be an expy of Mister Sinister from the ComicBook/XMen, but Big Show called him Cody Von Doom. Marvel has caught on to the comparison and interviewed him. Interview can be found here. Post-heel turn, Stardust once again invokes Mister Sinister, as he's even donned a cape similar to the character.

* RulesLawyer: A seed planted by Wrestling/ColtCabana, but Cody hired an actual rules lawyer to argue the case that he was the real ROH World Champion on the grounds his figure four leg lock counted as a pin on Lethal, which he had locked in before Christopher Daniels landing on Cody with the best moonsault ever. Daniels has won matches by stealing other people's pins in such a matter, but they didn't have lawyers to force a rematch.
