* SpiritualSuccessor: Wrestling/BethPhoenix is considered a modern example, the two often being compared. Beth also became the second woman to compete in the Royal Rumble - and even took a (kayfabe) shot at Chyna afterwards.

* CassandraTruth: A DownerEnding RealLife example, as for a time she was going to any media outlet she could find who would listen to her warnings about her friend Anna Nicole Smith's problems.

* DownerEnding: Her death at the age of 45, still hasn't recovered from her slump (see HowTheMightyHaveFallen below) and she never had a chance to patch things up with WWE personally, unlike some, like Wrestling/UltimateWarrior. The only silver lining, that she won't realize, is that WWE and the [=McMahons=] NeverSpeakIllOfTheDead and are planning to induct her into the Hall of Fame posthumously as the least they can do to recognize her career's high times.

* TheChick: In Degeneration X, being Hunter's bodyguard & eventual lover who stuck by him when he formed DX with HBK. An intimidating woman who acts as the group's enforcer. Being a woman of few words, her actions & facial expressions conveyed a more maternal side. During a triple threat match with Rock, Hunter, and X-Pac, a rift occurred between the latter two and the match ends in DQ with Rock losing but getting to keep his belt. Triple H and X-Pac are frustrated, meanwhile Chyna can only glare at them in silent reprimand.
** Another case occurs when Hunter fights X-Pac who is KO'd in the end and Chyna is the first to go kneel beside & check on him

* DisposableFiance: She says she & Triple H were engaged when he started seeing Stephanie. Former WWE diva Ivory says they fell in love after working so close together, and sadly Chyna got the shaft because of it. Eventually Chyna was gone from WWE, disappeared in KayFabe with no explanation given, and effectively replaced by Stephanie who had HHH, became his tag-partner, and was TheChick in DX.

* BrawnHilda: When she first debuted.
* BrokenBird: An understatement for her. A woman who was broken sometime in the past suffered many self-esteem & emotional issues, never truly healed, and was eventually lost to her demons.

* DarkAndTroubledPast: Her ''entire'' life is a living hell, even after her career in the [=WWE=].

* TheDreaded: While her life might have fallen apart, that doesn't change the fact that Chyna was, at one point, the most feared female wrestler in televised wrestling and officially the strongest woman in the history of the WWE. Hence, Karen Jarrett had a ''major'' FreakOut when she learned she would have to be in the same ring with Chyna in 2011.

* FanserviceModel: She eventually became this after her surgery, but later this became up to eleven when she was a pornstar.

* FetishizedAbuser: For Wrestling/EddieGuerrero at first, although their antics proved endearing enough to turn them both into fan favorites. In real life, she was this with X-Pac and said by other sources to be one to Triple H as well.

* GagBoobs: Zig-zagged. According to her autobiography, when she got her first set of implants, she realized that since she's 5'10" with a very muscular frame, it would be somewhat logical for her to go with a larger size. However, they were still fairly underwhelming on her frame, so after one of them ruptured during a match, she went back under the knife to repair them. During this, she apparently became the model for a line of larger implants she called the "Chyna 2000s," which were specifically made for female bodybuilders and large-framed women. They looked fairly proportionate during her time in wrestling; however, since she left, she slimmed down somewhat and her implants started to look oversized.

* AHandfulForAnEye: This is how she escaped Wrestling/SgtSlaughter.

* HowTheMightyHaveFallen: To say Joanie Laurer fell to pieces after she was released from the WWE would be a ''severe'' understatement. Disastrous public appearances, increased drug use, and a self-destructive relationship with Sean Waltman utterly ruined her and her reputation. While she got some of her life back together afterwards, for years she was still considered somewhat of a train wreck -- making news for accusing Triple H of hitting her at one point and then making threats to both him and Stephanie in a [=YouTube=] video. Not to mention her appearance at TNA, where it was made clear just what the excessive plastic surgery had done to her, and that she had downright embarrassing ring rust to compound it.

* HypocriticalHumor: She and HHH taking part in DX's parody of Wrestling/TheCorporation, a faction they would both separately join.

* IWasQuiteALooker: Depends on what period you're talking about. Inverted around the time of her ''Playboy'' cover where she was at her finest, and played straight after her [[FrozenFace excessive plastic surgery.]]

* ProgressivelyPrettier: [[http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/58/Chyna.jpg Chyna when she debuted in 1997]]. Compare that to [[http://z.about.com/d/prowrestling/1/0/j/9/-/-/chyna12.jpg Chyna after the plastic surgery]]. When she debuted alongside Triple H, lots of viewers were probably thinking, [[SamusIsAGirl "Who's that big, ugly man?"]] It should be noted that she's gone both ways with this, she started off somewhat mannish-looking, then refined her looks through plastic surgery, and becoming quite pretty, posing for ''Playboy'' and being considered very attractive. Unfortunately, she kept getting plastic surgery, and between that and losing a lot of her muscle tone (making her parts that were surgically enhanced for her muscular physique out of proportion), she's since approached what a few people have called a plastic train-wreck. And then there are some of the things that steroid abuse has done to her body that are somewhat... offputting.

* RedemptionEqualsDeath: A real-life case of this, as she was mending fences with Triple H and WWE around the time that she died.

* StatuesqueStunner: She was about the ideal supermodel height. If that means nothing to you professional wrestling fans, then let us put it this way. She was the exact same height and weight as Mr TallDarkAndHandsome Wrestling/PrinceDevitt!

* TemporaryBlindness: Caused by Kane, after he accidentally hit her with a fireball.

* UngratefulBastard: InUniverse, at least. Triple H challenged [[Wrestling/DwayneJohnson The Rock]] for the WWF Championship in an "I Quit" match on the January 25, 1999 ''Raw.'' Triple H had Rock set up for a Pedigree on the English announce table when Wrestling/TheCorporation ran out. Kane had Chyna set up for a chokeslam and the Wrestling/BigBossman threatened that they'll break her neck unless he gives up the match. Triple H agreed, and Kane let her go. Triple H turned toward Kane and it looked like they were going to fight...until Chyna lowblowed Triple H instead, thus turning heel and joining the Corporation.

* UnrequitedLoveLastsForever: May be the saddest case to the point of qualifying for the trope image. Though she was with Paul (HHH) for four years, things were uneven. While she seemed to love him, he's implied he settled for her during their time together until he grew up, started thinking about a real life, and eventually met Stephanie, as he notes on [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B59KY90FLM8&t=8s Sway's podcast]]. The podcast included, he's routinely praised Stephanie as the best woman in the world. Chyna has had numerous shoots on him over the years, in addition to vids where she's clearly under the influence that show she never truly moved on or came to acceptable terms with what happened. * VocalDissonance: Considering her size, strength, and toughness, her rather [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_bSWpuYzfg high, soft, nasal voice]] can be a little surprising. She also had a slight lisp which makes her almost a DistaffCounterpart to Mike Tyson.

** A sad non-Kayfabe case with Triple H, whom she never seemed to get over and has said numerous unflattering things about over the course of 15 years prior to her death.
