Ditto for this as for Chuck

* ''Series/OnceUponATime'':
** "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter" - Emma's kiss helps Graham remember his fairy tale life. It's also revealed that Regina fully remembers who she is, and crushes Graham's heart [[KilledOffForReal to kill him for good]].
** "A Land Without Magic" - Emma finally believes in magic, has to battle Maleficent's dragon form in the mines and uses TrueLovesKiss to save Henry's life. This breaks the Dark Curse, and Rumpelstiltskin then brings magic to Storybrooke.
** "The Miller's Daughter" - Snow White uses the candle Cora gave her to save Rumple's life by transferring the Dreamshade poison to Cora herself! And she tricks Regina into murdering Cora!
** "Going Home" - Rumple sacrifices himself to kill Peter Pan. Regina is forced to reverse the curse that created Storybrooke, sending everyone back to the Enchanted Forest. She also gives Emma and Henry new memories so they can live their lives in the normal world as if nothing had happened.
** "Quiet Minds" - Neal is revealed to have been tricked into sacrificing his own life to revive Rumple. He dies for real at the end of the episode.
** "The Snow Queen" is this for the backstory of the ''Frozen'' arc. Ingrid is revealed to have accidentally ''killed'' her own sister Helga with her powers, and a terrified Gerda sealed her in the urn - then having the trolls erase the entire kingdom's memories of her sisters.
** "Operation Mongoose" - a two-parter set in an alternate reality where the hero/villain roles are reversed (Snow White is now a tyrannical queen who controls Charming as a BackUpTwin, Regina is the forest bandit who is running from Snow, Rumpelstiltskin is an AllLovingHero called 'The Light One'). The episode ends with the darkness being pulled out of Rumple, and Emma willingly becoming the next Dark One to save everyone.
** "Birth" - Zelena is enchanted to [[ExpressDelivery rapidly give birth to her baby]], so Emma can use her as a vessel for her true plan. Back in Camelot, Hook was dying, so Emma made him a second Dark One.
** "Swan Song" - Emma kills Hook in order to destroy the darkness forever, but Rumple sneakily gets the powers back, and Emma leads a trip to the Underworld to rescue Hook's soul.
** "Sisters" - it's revealed that Zelena and Regina previously met as children, and actually became friends. But their mother forced them apart and wiped their memories of the event. She decides to restore them, resulting in Zelena's true HeelFaceTurn. Cora is also finally redeemed - getting to cross into {{Heaven}}.
** "Last Rites" - Robin Hood is KilledOffForReal to save Regina, Zelena completes her HeelFaceTurn to kill Hades, and Zeus grants Hook an official resurrection. Arthur likewise is redeemed and becomes the new king of the Underworld.
** "The Final Battle" looks like it'll be the GrandFinale but it turns out to be a SeriesFauxnale - as it ends with a little girl arriving on an adult Henry's door, claiming to be his daughter just like he did to Emma in the pilot.
** "Beauty" - Belle dies of old age!

Chuck has its own page with these same examples

* ''Series/{{Chuck}}'': The latest Wham is in Season Four when Timothy Dalton's character reveals himself as the BigBad of the season, Alexei Volkov.
** When Jill is revealed as a baddie in "Chuck vs. the Gravitron," though as she is the ex-girlfriend, some people may have seen this coming.
** The episode when Morgan finally finds out about Chuck. Or when you find out that Casey has a daughter. Or when his father is killed while Ellie is watching from the shadows. Or hey, the first big wham when you find out Chuck's father is Orion, and after that when Chuck downloads the intersect 2.0 and takes down a group of bad guys with his new powers.
** "Chuck vs The Ring Pt 1". Daniel Shaw really is alive! And there are so many Ring operatives inside the CIA that he is literally able to march into the middle of a debriefing, after having been revealed as a traitor, and everyone accepts what he says as truth. He shuts down the Intersect Operation, including having Sarah, Casey and ''General Beckman'' arrested, and chuck and his father have to go on the run. Even better because the line that really shows how screwed they are doubles as a WhamLine, when Shaw enters the debriefing.
** But probably the biggest wham came in "Chuck vs The Push Mix", in which:
*** [[spoiler:Ellie gives birth.]]
*** [[spoiler:Sarah's undercover assignment ends.]]
*** [[spoiler:Chuck's mum]] finally escapes Volkoff's organisation...
*** [[spoiler:Orion]] is still alive...
*** But wait! [[spoiler:It was Chuck himself all along!]] A [[ThePlan plan]] which resulted in [[spoiler:Volkoff]] playing right into his hands!
*** [[spoiler:And then Chuck proposes to Sarah, who appears to accept.]]
*** In short, pretty much every ongoing plot thread in the whole frickin' show is tied up in 42 minutes flat, as no-one expected NBC to renew the show for Season 5, or green light any further episodes for Season 4. NBC gave them another ''eleven'' episodes halfway through the season.
** The ''actual'' Season 4 finale, "Chuck Versus the Cliffhanger", has its own share of wham-tastic moments, including:
*** [[spoiler: Chuck quitting from the CIA's employment in order to save Sarah, who had been poisoned.]]
*** [[spoiler: In relation to the above, the CIA's representative has the Intersect removed from Chuck.]]
*** [[spoiler: Chuck and Sarah get married...]]
*** [[spoiler: ...and start up their own spy business.]]
*** [[spoiler: But apparently, there's a larger conspiracy at play, as Chuck learns from the CIA representative.]]
*** [[spoiler: Did we mention that Morgan now has the Intersect in his head by episode's end?]]
** In Season 5, the 2nd episode, "Chuck Versus the Bearded Bandit", we get one hell of a Wham in the form of [[spoiler: the Intersect not functioning appropriately in Morgan's head, causing the guy to lose sight of who he is]].

** "The Massacre at Hawkins Lab": The origins of both Vecna and Dr. Brenner's experiments, along with the truth behind the lab massacre, are revealed: Vecna was originally Henry Creel, the telekinetic son of Victor Creel who used his powers to kill his mother and sister (then framed Victor for the murders). He was later taken in by Dr. Brenner and became the first child (labeled "001") in the Hawkins Lab program, eventually growing up to become the orderly that "assisted" Eleven. After regaining his powers, 001 slaughtered the rest of the children and orderlies, but a telekinetic fight with El sent him tumbling into the Upside Down (with the same shot from the season premiere), where the dimension's lightning transformed him into the terrifying monster he is now.

* ''Series/Survivor'' Due to ''Series/{{Superstore}}''’s setting in Missouri, an area with a lot of tornados, most viewers probably thought nothing of the offhanded comments throughout the show about tornado drills and the store’s lack of tornado readiness. The employees are terrified for their lives the entire time, and the scene of the traumatized employees emerging into the store after the storm and seeing the state of damage is especially poignant for a sitcom.

Then you have the senior staff - and an increasingly antagonistic Leo and Bartlet - dealing with the fallout while [[spoiler: Josh flies to Germany to see Donna, who then develops a pulmonary embolism - ''the same thing Josh's father died of'' - when he leaves for a very short time]]. And that's the end of Season 5.
*** Remarkably, it gets even worse: in "NSF Thurmont", the Season 6 premiere, Josh discovers that [[spoiler: Donna may have sustained irreversible brain damage while without oxygen]] and [[spoiler: ''Leo has a heart attack'' after being fired by Bartlet]]. [[spoiler: Both survive]], but it's one of the pivotal points of the series and things drastically change in the following seasons.
** The second episode of Season 6 began with the immediate aftermath of [[spoiler: Leo's heart-attack]] and ended with the big surprise of [[spoiler: Bartlet asking C.J. to be the new Chief-of-Staff]], both of which led to significant changes in the relationships among the senior staff, and indirectly to [[spoiler: Josh Lyman's resignation at the midseason break. If he'd been the one promoted he wouldn't have left to work for a new presidential hopeful, which might have been part of Leo's plan all along when he recommended C.J. instead of Josh]].

* ''Series/TheWestWing'':
** The reveal of [[spoiler: Bartlet's MS]] in Season 1.
** The Season 1 finale ends on a cliffhanger, and the Season 2 premiere "In the Shadow of Two Gunmen, Part I/II" is a wham episode. Who's been hit? [[spoiler: The President]], who's mostly fine, and [[spoiler: Josh]], who is ''very not''.
** Also dealing with the Rosslyn arc, "Noël" is a wham episode if there ever was one, dealing with [[spoiler: Josh's PTSD in the aftermath of the shooting]].
** And how could we forget "18th and Potomac", with [[spoiler: the death of Mrs. Landingham]].
** The season 4 episode "Commencement" is the second-to-last episode written by Creator/AaronSorkin before he left the show: Amy asks Donna straight-out if [[spoiler: she's in love with Josh]], Toby [[spoiler: proposes to Andy (and she says no!) before her water breaks and she goes into labor]], and then Zoey [[spoiler: is drugged and kidnapped]].
*** However, no one can say they weren't warned, as it's [[{{Foreshadowing}} explicitly foreshadowed]] [[spoiler: by Bartlett with his description of the "nightmare scenario" way back in the first season episode "Mr. Willis of Ohio."]]
