** Another variety of this is shown later in the form of the Virginia Heartbreaker, a ridiculously unhealthy hamburger that consists of [[ChocolateFrostedSugarBombs six hamburger buns deep-fried in boiling syrup]], [[IAteWhat four 2-pound steaks made from a cow fed entirely with gasoline]], cheese breaded with cotton candy, and a [[BaconAddiction whole package of bacon still in its plastic wrapping]] and just taking a single bite of it causes whoever eats it to experience a heart attack-induced DisneyAcidSequence.

* TortureAlwaysWorks, JackBauerInterrogationTechnique: Initially parodied, then played straight, then finally subverted: Repomies starts off with just kicking a suspect's shins, stating that he isn't sadistic enough to do anything worse. Then he kicks a chair out of frustration and it rebounds off a wall into the suspect, he starts apologizing profusely. Later, another suspect is brought in and Repomies attempts the shin-kicking method again and gets a confession. Pöysti points out [[GenreSavvy that he just made up the said information just to make Repomies stop]]. When Repomies doesn't believe him, Pöysti demonstrates by making up an alternate interpretation of events and [[RuleOfFunny starts beating the suspect's head in with a chair until the perp agrees that his address is the correct one]]. Once the situation switches over to [[JackBauerInterrogationTechnique Jack]] [[strike:Bauer]] [[JackBauerInterrogationTechnique Jofa Interrogation Technique]], he threatens to move on to power tools and [[NoodleImplements frozen beavers]], which seems to visibly shake the suspect. Before the perp can spill any actual info however, his lawyer barges in and anesthetizes him to the point that he's immune to all and any pain.

* StagParty: One episode revolves around Neponen renewing his wedding vows, which naturally involves Pöysti having to arrange one for him with three of his friends. They have plenty of experience for throwing such parties and know that while the generic "get drunk, do something stupid and risky that ends in a brawl" party has been done over and over again, it's what the party will ultimately devolve into anyway, as better and more unique ideas are ridiculously expensive and all the cheaper ones aren't worth doing. Pöysti still doesn't believe them and comes up with several unique ideas, but all of them are a combination of something extremely dangerous, physically impossible or utterly illegal, forcing him admit defeat and go with the default option.

--> Gentlemen, [[HeterosexualLifePartners platonically dear friends]]. Many of our friends from this bar have been employed in Pirinen's brothel. Now back door bandits are lining up to have their way with them. This must not happen. We have no other option than to do to our friends what they would do to us. -- (march music starts playing) We have to go there and make love to them in a respectful and beautiful way, until the gays grow tired of waiting their turn. And we must repeat the same thing tomorrow. And the day after tomorrow. And the day after that until they get fed up and our friends are left in peace. Alright, I know this may sound raunchy. But think it not as homosexuality between friends but [[WorldWarTwo the Winter War]]. Where instead of Russians we have gays and instead of bullets we will be shooting something else!

Added DiffLines:

* RecurringCharacter: Or more like a recurring voice. Many minor characters have the same, defiant and arrogant voice spoken by voice actor Juho Milonoff. In a making of-clip, Milonoff explains that series' director Atte Järvinen likes that certain voice so much that he asks Milonoff to do it quite often. Also lampshaded in the final episode.

Added DiffLines:

*** During Pöysti's half-year holiday in Far East, he doesn't really grow up as a person, but after he returns, he FINALLY gets Neponen's first name right.
** Pöysti borrowing money from Neponen, or telling him to buy pizza.
** People asking Pöysti why is he wearing a pacifier, to which Pöysti answers sarcastically. Mostly used in earlier episodes.
** Most episodes end with Pöysti and Repomies arguing on the roof. At some point Pöysti gets fed up and leaves, after which Repomies continues his monologue, which gets more delusional by every sentence.

* HypocriticalHumor: One episode focused on Pöysti's new neighbor, who was presented as eccentric, lazy, having no concept of personal space. Cue Pöysti and Neponen walking off to the sunset and Pöysti unwittingly behaving exactly like the guy.
