In the 2006 sequel to ''WesternAnimation/IceAge'', ''Ice Age 2: The Meltdown'', Manny, Sid and Diego are living in a large valley with an enormously high ice wall filling one end. The trio discover that the ice wall is actually barely holding a massive body of water that would flood the valley to nearly a mile underwater. A vulture tells them that there is a boat at the other end of the valley that may save them all, but they have only three days to make it or die. Manny is having trouble facing the fact that he may be the last mammoth left. Along the way, they meet Ellie, a mammoth who thinks she is a possum, and her opossum "brothers", Crash and Eddie.

* BondVillainStupidity: Had the vultures simply kept their mouths shut about the flood and just let the animals drown, they would have actually gotten to eat all that food they were singing about.
** Actually, unless the bodies were all in the same place at the same time, which if the dam had broken directly on top of them they'd be flooded to all corners of the valley, the vultures wouldn't end up with very much food at all. The path to the Boat was proven to be incredibly dangerous, and even the 'traffic' of animals trying to move out towards the Boat caused a few casualties, according to a couple of vultures acting like traffic reporters. Sending all the animals on the path and following them, leisurely consuming those left behind or killed by hazards, was a far more intelligent plan, and on the off chance enough animals made it to the Boat in the end, it means they wouldn't have to leave the valley to find more food later.

* IgnoredEpiphany: A humorous example. Upon discovering his assistant Stu, was killed, leaving only his shell behind, Fast Tony's is grief stricken...before promptly offering to sell the empty shell for "everyone to buy their a new nice mobile home!"

** Proven wrong by meeting Ellie and not so much a herd, but a ''horde'' of them appearing at the end.

* PapaWolf: Most evident example in the cycle is the event when Manny and Diego are defending from guanlongs Ellie giving birth to her daughter.
