* CerebusSyndrome: The movie acts as an InternalDeconstruction of the series' premise and characters. They recognize that they're all [[CaptainErsatz knock-offs]] of real characters who were created solely for the show, and the DeathIsCheap running gag that allowed characters to die multiple times an episode in the main series was dropped in favor of AllDeathsFinal.

* RevoltingRescue: In "Clum Babies", Wooldor masturbates for the first time and this causes the titular Clum Babies to be born. The babies have magical healing properties, so the gang sells them to heal the sick and injured. One of them also heals Bob the Cucumber's [[AxCrazy insanity]].

* BlackJezebelStereotype: Foxxy Love is [[TokenMinority the only black woman]] among the main cast. She's also the MsFanservice of the group and has a [[GoodBadGirl very strong sexual appetite even compared to her housemates]], resulting in numerous abortions and abandoned children. She's often contrasted against the white Princess Clara, who is not only more innocent but very racist; in the first episode, the two girls make out, with Clara literally singing the praises of the "black chick's tongue." Her name is also an explicit reference to Foxy Brown.

* TheBigDamnKiss: Clara and Foxxy's makeout session in the pilot. Probably one of the most famous and memorable moments in series history. This would also be constantly referenced to and alluded in many future episodes such as "Clara's Dirty Little Secret", "Ghostesses in the Slot Machine", "American Idol Parody Clip Show", etc. It's also a key plot point in TheMovie.

* MockyMouse: Munchkin Mouse from "American Idol Parody Clip Show" is an ersatz of WesternAnimation/MickeyMouse with some elements of WesternAnimation/SpeedyGonzales. He has a high-pitched voice and wears red overalls with yellow buttons similar to Mickey's shorts.

* BunnyEarsLawyer: Apparently, despite his antics, Wooldoor can be a competent preacher; he's shown in a flashback to have started Clara's Christianity. [[ActivistFundamentalistAntics Knowing Clara]], though, that either went [[GoneHorriblyRight horribly right]] or, depending on how you see Wooldoor, [[BewareTheSillyOnes exactly]] [[CorruptChurch as]] [[FridgeHorror planned]].

* CardboardBoxOfUnemployment: This happens to all eight main cast members at the end of the series finale.

** Played for laughs with [[spoiler:The Jew Producer in the finale]].

** The finale, "Series/AmericanIdol Parody Clip Show", starts with the producer promising that someone would be kicked off the show at the end of the episode. After much suspense regarding who'll be sent home, the unlucky one is revealed to be yet another previously-unmentioned roommate, Munchkin Mouse. All the other characters act saddened to see him go, and then a montage of "Munchkin Mouse's Greatest Moments" follows - once again, all previously-seen clips from the show with the same still image of Munchkin Mouse spliced in.

** The limbless undercover sting unit in "Little Orphan Hero" called the "Special Tactical Operations Unit To Catch People Who Set Up Suicide Hotlines Because Of A Reality Show Challenge And Then Didn't Follow Through On Them So They Cause The People Who Needed Them To Take Their Own Lives And Then They Change Their Minds When They Realize Not All People Should Be Forced To Live So They Try To Assist Someone In Euthanasia". Or the STOUTCPWSUSHBOARSCATDFTOTSTCTPWNTTTTMWTRNAPSBFTLSTTTASIE for short.

* TheResolutionWillNotBeTelevised: The series finale was a network-mandated on-the-cheap clip show that both the fans and the show people were dissatisfied with. The series' proper resolution came in the form of a direct-to-DVD movie.

* NoPeriodsPeriod: Averted like ''hell''.

* ObituaryMontage: Spoofed in the series finale.

* SadistShow: When ''Drawn Together'' isn't about taking the piss out of reality television (the original premise which it dropped in the second season) or cartoons, it's about heaping abuse on the dysfunctional housemates. Luckily, they all retain strong {{jerkass}} tendencies, so there's little room for sympathy save for Captain Hero, who was originally the biggest of the Jerkasses but developed into the most sympathetic character.

* TheSociopath: This is a series FULL of sociopaths. Almost the entire main cast fits this description, excluding (usually) Foxxy, Xandir and Wooldoor.
** Spanky is the perfect example. LackOfEmpathy, deceives or puts people in horrible situations for his own convenience, is unpleasant, obnoxious, sadistic, greedy and manipulative.
** Hero is not far behind either. He has a frequent lack of empathy, is not afraid to do heinous acts, has [[DarkAndTroubledPast had a problematic childhood]], and even rapes his own parents.

** In "A Tale of Two Cows", Toot goes to her FatCamp reunion and [[Film/{{Carrie}} has pig's blood dropped on her]].

** in the "Clum Babies" episode, Ling-Ling uses "Music/YokoOno" as a swear word.

* TheSociopath: This is a series FULL of sociopaths. Even to get a real kick out of that everyone are this, excluding Foxxy, Xandir and Wooldoor.
** Spanky is the perfect example. LackOfEmpathy, deceives or puts people in horrible situations for their own convenience, is unpleasant, obnoxious, sadistic, greedy and manipulative.
** Hero is not far behind either. He is a frequent lack of empathy, not afraid to do heinous acts, has a problem of childhood, even raped his own parents.

** Whenever a ReactionShot happens, chances are high that between them will be footage from ''Film/TheLostWorld'' of an ape-man looking slowly around, see StockFootage.

* [[RequisiteRoyalRegalia Royal Crown]]: Although her outfit is relatively [[ModestRoyalty modest]] by princess standards, Clara is almost never without her tiara.

* ReReleaseSoundtrack: The televised version of "Dirty Pranking No. 2" features a ''Film/DirtyDancing'' parody, complete with "(I've Had) the Time of My Life". Reportedly, the songwriter was infuriated at the use of his song and refused to negotiate video rights. The DVD release replaces it with an original song mocking the situation.

* ManufacturingVictims: "Toot Goes Bollywood" has Foxxy going into therapy for her nymphomania. The psychiatrist, Wooldoor, implants a false memory of childhood sexual abuse, and this false memory takes over her life. Ruining her life, making her end up in jail, and make her murder a lot of innocent people - in that order.

* LionKingLift: In "Clum Babies", Wooldoor masturbates for the first time and produce a "clum baby", to which the other housemates bow in respect to as faux-African chanting is heard.
