** AdaptationalVillainy: Batwoman (a.k.a. [[CanonForeigner Katrina Moldoff]]) was hit especially hard with this. In the Silver Age, she was at worst a GirlyGirl and DesignatedLoveInterest who nevertheless saved Batman's life multiple times; here, she's a HeroicWannabe who needlessly endangers civilians and eventually becomes a full-blown villain (with a good dose of StrawFeminist to boot). DC notably ''forbade'' the writers from using her comics identity of Kathy Kane.
