Lightbringer was both written and drawn by Lovhaug through the first twelve issues and part of issue 13. By his own admittance, because he is more of a writer than an artist, he brought [[http://chadrocco.deviantart.com/ Chad Rocco]] to take care of the drawing side, who drew the rest of issue 13, issue 14, and the first half of issue 15. After he left, Sergio Ragno of ''Webcomic/ThirteenthChild'' fame took over and finished the second half of issue 15. As of August 19, 2012, Lightbringer is on hiatus.

Earlier strips are currently being redrawn and partially rewritten by Mark Banilbo [[http://lightbringer.smackjeeves.com here]].

Lightbringer and one of his enemies, Smiling Man, also play a big part in ''Webcomic/TheCrossoverlord'', which was partly written and drawn by Lovhaug.

* DidNotDoTheResearch: The Gentleman is supposedly Jack the Ripper himself, with the MO of murdering protitutes as an example of social depravity and then writing his moral outrage to the police. This clashes with the 'From Hell' letter, belived to be the only authentic letter from the killer himself wherin he brags about how he ate Catherine Eddowes's kidney.

This hero has nothing to do with the 1993 BeatEmUp released by Creator/{{Taito}}, outside maybe being a violent EpicFantasy. We hope he's unrelated to [[{{Satan}} the other guy called Lightbringer]].

It tells the story of Carter Granholme, who has mysterious, light-based abilities. For years he refused to use them in honor of his dead parents, who were pacifists, but after becoming fed up of the crime in Pharos City, he becomes Lightbringer, the world's first superhero.
