It follows the adventures of [[UnlikelyHero a normal guy named Dave]], his [[SoapboxSadie Ecoist]] [[WillTheyOrWontThey not-yet-girlfriend]] Jessica, and [[LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters many other characters]] that switch in and out [[CharacterFocus as the plot requires]].

* StylisticSuck: Not as extreme as some other comments, but proportions are often warped and the grammar is strange.

* WillTheyOrWontThey: Dave and Jessica. Jessica clearly likes Dave, but Dave may be ObliviousToLove. In [[http://educomix.thecomicseries.com/comics/157/ this strip]], [[spoiler:the Jessica clone (actually Yuda) kisses the Dave clone (Duve)]].

* ScheduleSlip: Avoided by having planned breaks every now and then. The comic has now switched to a Monday-Wednesday-Friday update schedule.

* AlternateUniverse / AnotherDimension: Two universes other than the main one have appeared - one where black people are discriminated against (In the main universe, every president of America so far has been black!), and one where Dave and Jessica never met.

* ArtisticLicenseGeography: Asia is a country, and [[BeneathTheEarth beneath]] Ireland. Likewise, [[LandDownunder Australia]] [[IncrediblyLamePun is beneath]] America. And [[MysteriousAntarctica the South Pole]] is its own country. [[UsefulNotes/{{Britain}} England]] is a small, apparently independent island (no other real-life parts of Britain have been mentioned).
