''DICE: The Cube That Changes Everything'' is a [[KoreanWebtoons Korean Webtoon]] by Yun Hyun Suk. It's been published on [[Website/{{Webtoon}} Naver]] from 2013 to 2021. Since February 26, 2021 has been printed in France by Nazca Editions.

* AnAesop: Delivered near the end. Life often involves luck. Sometimes you get unexpected privileges or misfortune, and it's not in your control, and it's the same for everyone. But if you don't even try, everything you want will be taken by someone else.

* EarnYourHappyEnding: Dongtae's uses the limited power of the Final Die to fix problems of several characters, specifically: [[spoiler:Dongtae instead of Mooyoung saves Taebin from suicide and leaves with a word of encouragement, and somehow Taebing regains his looks and transfers to Dongtae's school. Sooyoung resumes swimming practices. Nani is fully cured and lives with Suksoon. Mooyoung is finally put to rest. Che-Hyun gets a bunch of games for free due to a UsefulNotes/{{Steam}} bug. Deawoong just gets a dream of being a sultan with a harem and PooledFunds. Eunju's rival and parents have survived the car crash, though she remarks she doesn't remember if their deaths were confirmed in the first place. Jieun becomes an {{Unperson}} with a new identity, and later becomes a teacher in Dongtae's class. Johann is still paralyzed, but at least the Brotherhood remain as a normal church. Mio is revived in her improved body and saves Dongtae from the bullies. X never becomes what he was and is implied to have fixed his life and has two kids. The Dice never existed, undoing all other related deaths. Dongtae is still bullied as the Bread Shuttle, but this time he stands up for himself and befriends Mio, Jieun and Eunju again.]]

* WithGreatPowerComesGreatResponsibility: Dongtae is the only person who doesn't think Dice allow you to do whatever you want, and early in the series imagines being Franchise/SpiderMan.

* BittersweetEnding: The webcomic ends with [[spoiler: the Final Die scattered throughout the world, its power completely gone thanks to X destroying it in a fit of rage (it would've restored its power over time otherwise). The world is at peace, thanks to Dongtae fulfilling every Dicer's desire and he even saves Mio from her death. However in the process everyone lost their memories of the Dice outside of Dongtae himself, so things return to some semblance of how it was prior to the beginning of the series where he is an abused Bread Shuttle. But Jieun starts at his school as a teacher and Mio despite not having her memories befriends him all over again.]]

* ExponentialPlotDelay: Season 4 is about as long as the other three combined, and contains three full arcs before the final quest, the confrontation in which is about a hundred chapters long because of the monologues, flashbacks, showing what unnamed Dicers are doing, and Deawoong complaining about every step of heroes' XanatosSpeedChess before letting them explain.

** [[spoiler:When Mooyoung first physically appears, Taebin goes missing. Then Mooyoung messages someone and Eunju recieves a message from Taebin. X also find people trusting Taebin hilarious. Turns out they are SharingABody.]]

* GoodAllAlong: [[spoiler:Che-Hyun has been stalking Dongtae, is friendly with X, proposes an alliance with no benefits and join the Attack's team during War Quest despite promising to join Dongtae's]]. It's ambiguous how sincere he is regarding joining the other team accidentally, but he chooses to help Dongtae despite being on the Attack's side. Being an attacker allows him to supply Dongtae with Dice for vandalism, which Dongtae can't get as a Defense member.

* PrettyBoy: Taebin starts of as the most handsome guy in school [[spoiler:, but he wasn't like this originally]]. Later, thanks to the Dice, Dongtae becomes one as well, much to surprise of their classmates. In general, it can happen to any person that uses Dice points to increase the physical attractiveness attributes.

** Dongtae didn't like Taebin out of jealousy for taking Eunju, and still doesn't like him becuase he's not being honest with her about being a Dicer. Dongtae's main motivation is to improve himself and overcome him, who knows a lot more about the Dice than anyone else. However, when it comes to the problem of Dice's spread, they are willing to work together, though Taebin doesn't take Dongtae seriously for being newbie.

** Aside of capable of improving the user's stats, X's phones provide interfaces like quests, profiles and an item shop.

* RousseauWasRight: There are a lot of selfish people in the series, but the manhwa argues they have the right to follow own dreams, and most Dicers have a FreudianExcuse of some kind. Author's notes state that aside "maybe" [[spoiler:Teacher Kim and X's father]], nobody is truly evil.

* SuperEmpowering: The Dice allow people to boost many of their attributes such as strength, endurance, agility or physical attractiveness, even granting to the ability to see in darkness. There are special golden A-Dice that grant people PsychicPowers, such as Dongtae's ColourCodedTimestop, which was given as a reward for completing one of X's special quests.
* SuperStrength: By increasing 'strength' attribute and focusing all of the power into his left hand, instead of whole body in general, [[spoiler: Byungchul]] can deliver devastating punches. Overusing it, however, causes large veins to appear all over his arm, temporarily making his arm disabled and it causes great pain.

* TanksForNothing: The best weapon available in the final game is a walkie-talkie. Which can be used to summon any heavy artillery, starting from a giant tank. The accuracy is much to be desired though.

* ThereCanBeOnlyOne: For the final quest X decides to halt the rest of the Dice games and makes everyone battle royale each other under limited time until there's only one left.

* ThrowingYourSwordAlwaysWorks: [[spoiler:When X opens the portal into his dimension, while in air a few floors above, Dongtae throws his Time Cutter into it. It goes straight into the Final Die as planned, stripping X of his invincibility. The next Time Cutter throw hits X directly.]]

* TrackingSpell: One cash shop skill Stalking gives the user a minimap showing other A-rankers.

** The low-rank Dicers antagonize Dongtae for any reason, but the moment they are in danger and he has to be everyone's savior.

* WingedHumanoid: TheDragon of the Brotherhood, Johann Sung has a maxed out Levitation that gives him several huge feathery wings which he can use as fists. [[spoiler:Mooyoung gets bat wings after absorbing him.]]
* WishUponAShootingStar: [[spoiler:The Final Die is a giant die from outer space that crashlands in the suburbs and asks a kid beaten by his father his one wish. The kid becomes X and start granting wishes of other people in JerkassGenie way. The Final Die out of its MultipleChoicePast decides that being a fallen wishing star is the best analogy.]]

* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: The author notes that one unused Dice Dongtae gave to Jieun still remained in her possession in the new world, but deliberately chose to not tell what happened to it, and dedicates it to the reader.
* WhyDidntIThinkOfThat: [[spoiler:Dongtae asks the Final Die why does it obey X instead of doing something for itself. It replies that it just didn't consider it, then determines it wants to see everyone to have a chance to show their wishes and makes X follow own rules.]]

** Mooyoung warned Taebin that he can't stop the spread of Dice, which he tries by doing quests privately. Dongtae got hands on one of his anyway and the rest is history.

* SenpaiKohai: Che-Hyun refers to Dongtae as Sunbae (kor.: upperclassman).

* ThereCanOnlyBeOne: For the final quest X decides to halt the rest of the Dice games and makes everyone battle royale each other under limited time until there's only one left.

* TankGoodness: The best weapon available in the final game is a walkie-talkie. Which can be used to summon any heavy artillery, starting from a giant tank. The accuracy is much to be desired though.

* ShoutOut: These are numerous, involving many works of fiction.
** Dongtae makes a reference to [[Manga/DeathNote Ryuk]] in chapter 5.
** Chapter 7 references ''Franchise/StarWars'' and ''[[Film/ThreeHundred 300]]'' in the same sequence.
** When Dongtae saves kids from a truck, he imagines a similar scene from ''Film/SpiderMan2'', also drawing parallels between Eunju and Mary Jane.
** X's explanation of Dicer's desire is followed with an image of VideoGame/PacMan.
** Dongtae and Mio play ''TabletopGame/{{Monopoly}}'' with Korean cities.
** Mio imagines herself as the protagonist of ''Film/TheProfessional''.
** In chapter 72, Oh-Hyun mentions that he wants to be "the most handsome man alive" and then the "best prosecutor" while the image of [[Franchise/AceAttorney a certain blue-suited defense attorney]] (ironically as it's Miles Edgeworthwho who is an actual "handsome prosecutor") appears above him.
** X sometimes represents Dicers with Franchise/{{Lego}} minifigures.
** Chehuyun brings up he's only interested in 2D girls like [[Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion Ren and Asoka]].
** Mio sees [[CombatClairvoyance incoming attacks]] as ''Franchise/StreetFighter'' combos.
** Mio comments about Jeuin being CrazyPrepared as having Franchise/{{Doraemon}}'s magic punch.
** X compares Dongtae and Mio to WesternAnimation/{{Shrek}} and Fiona.
** As Dongtae talks about stars, an illustration of Literature/TheLittlePrince shows up.

* RivalsTeamUp: Taebin and Dongtae are forced to help each other protect Eunju from students completing the hurtful quests X gave them.

** Dongtae didn't like him out of jealousy for taking Eunju, and still doesn't like him becuase he's not being honest with her about being a Dicer. Dongtae's main motivation is to improve himself and overcome Taebin, who knows a lot more about the Dice than anyone else. ** Dongtae didn't tell Eunju that he's a Dicer, responsible for the Dice appearing in the school, and that he will be rewarded for protecting her (even if he wanted to do so regardless) until he couldn't hide it. Despite saving her from the school gang, she becomes mad at him the next day, though apologizes later.
** Dongtae deals with renegade Guild members. Despite having bloodied clothes, he neglects to explain Eunju that choir club weren't in danger, further hurting the relationship with her. He explains to Mio why has he has missed the date, though only after she got mad at him as well.

* MemoryGambit: [[spoiler:Mooyoung inflicted amnesia on Taebin, specifically about the volounteered possession, so Taebin out of paranoia will avoid sharing the Dice, then assmbles a team of A-Rankers when they inevitably appear to confront X, which Mooyoung would be able to harvest with ease for himself.]]

* ManaMeter: Unused Dice are spent when activating most abilities, and often run out at inconvinient time.

* LoopholeAbuse: [[spoiler:As Dongtae have realized, as the GameMaster X cannot attack a player directly unless [[ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem he makes a rule]] that allows that as punishment, which he also has limitations about. All other casualties were Dicers killing each other by his suggestions, or forcibly tranformed and are technically not dead.]]

* ItsAllMyFault: Dongtae blames himself for [[spoiler:Byungchul's death, who might not have died had Dongtae not ignored the quest X gave him]] that particular night.

* ItsAllAboutMe: Many Dicers suffer from overflowing ego, LackOfEmpathy or teamwork, and can't face the consequences. When it comes to a pitch, they're not above asking good Dongtae to help him even after antagonizing him earlier.

* INeedYouStronger: X isn't bothered by Dongtae antagonizing him, in fact he finds it fun and sometimes provides hints on how to get to him. However, X isn't above sending other people to their deaths if they annoy him. X eventually changes his mind when Dongtae insists on not doing quests that involve hurting others and becomes a problem.

* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Realizing that [[spoiler:X intends to replace him as a new toy with Che-Hyun, Mooyoung]] pierces the latter with his arm.

* HeelFaceTurn: Hyunjo, Dongtae's master from the beginning, considers stop being a bully after leaving the hospital. Dongtae saving him during the War Quest only cements it and he gives a formal apology.

* GrayingMorality: As the stakes and the count of amoral Dicers keeps rising, all heroes eventually stop abiding by ThouShallNotKill and are perfectly willing to PK for their goals.

It's ambiguous how sincere he is regarding it being an accident, but he chooses to help Dongtae despite being on the opposing team. Being an attacker allows him to supply Dongtae with Dice for vandalism.]]

* GenreSavvy: Mio's clan member is guarding Dongtae's cell, who've already showed intent to escape. Dongtae attempts WoundedGazelleGambit. When the guard [[TheGuardsMustBeCrazy comes in to check]], Dongtae asks for a few Dice to heal himself. The guard goes yeah sure and promptly returns to lock the door.

** [[spoiler:When Mooyoung first physically appears, Taebin goes missing. Then Mooyung messages someone and Eunju recieves a message from Taebin. X also find people trusting Taebin hilarious. Turns out they are SharingABody.]]

* TimeStandsStill: Time Pause, one of the A-ranker abilities makes everything still until touched by the user. Dongtae and Mooyung have it and are mutually immune to it, and can use a command to cancel it.

** Mooyoung and [[spoiler:Dawn]] appear InTheHood until it's revealed they [[spoiler:look too similar to Taebin and NotQuiteDead]] respectively.
