The writers have been criticized a number of times for their unnatural-sounding male voices because they use a pitch change on all their male characters. Neither one could get low enough to put off a convincing male voice. Since the series has evolved from being created in Windows Movie Maker (a most despicable program) to Final Cut Express 4 (which is a thousand times better, but not the best) visual humor has become more fluid though editing has become slower- because now that manitoug15 has the ability to add loads of sound effects and music, she does.\\

The abridged series was inspired by LittleKuriboh (who is mentioned as the abbreviation 'LK' in Episode 17 by Haruhi) and [[WebVideo/SailorMoonAbridged Megami33]] (whose FAQ showed them a way to record their audio better). The idea was thought up by manitoug15, who put the idea to jellibette, who said they should go for it.
