* AnAxeToGrind: In the later half of the series, Xero acquires a bladed weapon that resembles an axe. However, it's primary function is to use the blood it absorbs as an [[LaserBlade energy blade]].

* RedOniBlueOni: Ironic in that Omega (colored red) is the blue oni, and Xero (colored blue) is the red oni. As Omega is the gun-toting level-headed stone-cold badass, while Xero is the hot-blooded, foul-mouthed MeanBrit whom enjoys getting up close and personal.

* MeanBrit: ''Xero'', the guys one of the most foul-mouthed characters in this series and complements it with a foul-temper with a penchant for trash-talking.

* KillEmAll: [[spoiler:By the end of the series, basically every character with a name is dead. Xero manages to live to the epilogue though, and his apprentice Enid manages to survive to fight another day.]]

* NerdGlasses: Askad, the team SmartGuy/explosives guy always has his yellow glasses on.
