As you know, Amy was incredibly hostile to Wil Wheaton on the Fun With Flags segment in which he was a guest. Many have stated it might be her resentment about Sheldon paying more attention to his Sci-Fi programs than her. While that may certainly be a part of it, there is also a good chance she heard about his stunt at the Bowling Alley, in which he made the conflict between Leonard and Penny worse leading to their breakup. Needless to say, if it's a choice between her "bestie" and some guy from (in her words) a guy from a "silly science fiction show", her bestie, Penny is going to win out.

** As a fellow autistic I agree. Let's look at it this way: Sheldon grew up in rural Texas in the 90s when his mom had him tested. I really don't believe it's a stretch to believe the doctor simply didn't recognize high functioning autism.

So, who exactly were these spirits talking to the psychic? While spirit guides, it is said, don't have to be family or friends we knew when they were alive, it is not out of the realm of possibility. And just one episode after this psychic discussion, Sheldon mentions how losing his grandfather and father at a young age affected him. So the most likely candidates trying to get Sheldon on the right path towards a full life? His Dad and Poppop.

[[WMG: Adult Sheldon conflated Billy Sparks with his sister Bobbie because he was too embarrassed to admit his bully was a little girl]]
Billy is always friendly to Sheldon in Young Sheldon, his early antagonism being from well-intentioned ignorance rather than malice. So what does Sheldon do? He claims what Bobbie did to him was done by Billy. The gang never met Billy so they had no way of knowing. By combining Billy's overenthusiastic love for chickens with Bobbie's sadistic cruelness, he was able to invent a fictional character that allowed him to maintain some dignity over the whole thing in his mind. We never see his enemies list on the 5 1/4" floppy, but he most likely put Bobbie Sparks instead of Billy in that spot. He may have pretended his floppy didn't work because he realized the gang might see Billy is absent and instead BOBBIE is there.

**** Eventually confirmed and its clear that Sheldon both enjoys (and is actually surprisingly good at) sex.

* I'm not an expert at neurodiversity but I have looked into it a bit (I have friends who are on the spectrum as well as managing staff who are almost certainly) and I believe the appropriate saying is "When you know one person with autism then you know one person with autism". It is perfectly possible for Sheldon to be both neurodiverse in some respect AND be a massive asshole, the one doesn't rule the other out. Sheldon has his foibles but also willingly lets these foibles ruin other people's lives.

In fact ''everyone'' was frustrated and suffering from reduced emotional capacity, in part due to isolation and them running out of fresh entertainment. As a result Sheldon, who's personality is the most abrasive, appeared more out of control than he actually was due to their own short patience.

[[WMG: Sheldon's Spirit Guides]]
In "The Anything Can Happen Recurrence", the psychic tells Sheldon his "spirit guides" are telling her that if he gives himself over to love and to Amy, his life, personally and professionally, will fall into place. This is exactly what ends up happening -- it is through his wedding to Amy that Sheldon and Amy come up with the idea that wins them the Nobel Prize.
So, who exactly were these spirits talking to the psychic? While spirit guides, it is said, don't have to be family or friends we knew when they were alive, it is not out of the realm of possibility. No normal parent is unironically emotionally invested in the cartoons their kids watch. While it's true she hadn't gotten out in ages, you'd expect her to find entertainment on the internet. Yet she's sitting there, deeply invested in an episode of Bob the Builder and makes Amy wait until the episode is over before they leave. Why? Because her enjoyment of Nick Jr type cartoons was a secret of hers for years, it gave her a mental escape from the horrors of her job and just let her lose herself in something silly and mindless where everything's happy all the time and problems are simple and easy to solve. Having kids gave her an excuse and a cover to be a little less secretive about it. This serves as a great example of how she's NotSoDifferent from the guys and Amy and their nerdy interests.
