* SeriesHiatus: The developers took a couple of these for a month each to cool down.

* HollywoodPudgy: Melody tells MC early in the story that she likes to watch her weight. Lampshaded by MC, who correctly points out that Melody is not remotely overweight.

* LimitedSpecialCollectorsUltimateEdition: All paying patrons get the vanilla game. For more money, the player can get bonus material, such as extra scenes, animation in certain sex scenes, a walkthrough that gives a step-by-step guide for how to get the ending(s) he wants, and a “lewd gallery” of special renders of the girls.
* LineToGod: The creators have a website and a Patreon page.

Not that Melody is the only woman that MC can pursue now that he’s single again. He can also date Amy, who is a classy lady looking for a good man, Isabella, his old high school crush whom he’s just run into again, his shy next-door neighbor Becca, Melody’s flirtatious and fun-loving best friend Sophia, and Xianne, a waitress and a schoolmate of Melody’s and Sophia’s who befriends MC and Melody.

However, MC does teach Melody a great deal about music as well, from learning the basics of playing a variety of instruments to selecting the ones she likes to play to overcoming her fear of performing in public. This last one proves most important: Hank Sharp, a local record executive, watches one of her early performances, and is impressed enough that he soon offers her a record deal at his label.

* AmbiguousDisorder: Becca is extremely, painfully shy to the point of an anxiety disorder, though she is never mentioned as having one.

* FourthWallMyopia: Many players called MC a “wimp” or a “pussy” for failing to stand up to Bethany, forgetting that he spent ten years in a relationship where she manipulated him almost constantly.

* GeniusBonus: Melody’s music quizzes are packed with these.

* GoodBadBugs: There was a glitch up until the release of the final version in which only the expensive perfume would get the player onto Amy’s romantic path rather than a set of three choices.

* LuckBasedMission: With several in-game decisions (even the pivotal ones for Melody’s career), there is no way to tell, or even infer, which decision is correct before making it, at least without reading the walkthrough.

* ADateWithRosiePalms: Melody is often seen masturbating in the early chapters to deal with her frustration.

* HouseRules: Discussed in-universe, when a bunch of people at the college party play Suck ‘n’ Blow. MC mentions that while he played the same game when he was in college, the rules are slightly different from the ones he played with.

* BareYourMidriff: When Melody is properly introduced, she is wearing a halter top.

* StartingFrom: The logical extreme. Supporters on Patreon who pledged $1 per month to Mr. Dots Games didn’t actually get to play the new updates at all. They just got access to the game’s ''development'' updates.
