Takuru Miyashiro is a high school senior and president of the school's newspaper club whose family died in an earthquake 6 years before. Accompanied by his childhood friend Serika Onoe, foster sister Nono Kurusu, newspaper club members Hana and Shinji; Hinae, an eyewitness to a murder; Uki, who has spent years isolated from the world; and Mio, a misanthrope who has been sent in to aid the police. They all deal with the bizarre events referred to as the "Reincarnation of the New Generation of Madness" while also using the superhuman powers that some of them possess.
