* RelationshipUpgrade: Unlike ''Persona 3'' you can choose to do this with any, [[YourCheatingHeart or all]], [[CelibateHero or none]], of the potental LoveInterests. Some require more work into makinng this than others.

* TakeThatPlayer: An interesting and low-key one. In the Moon Social Link, at Rank 6 you are given the "No turning back" warning, which usually implies that you can become a lover of somone. However, since Ai is InLoveWithLove the relationship will be simple play-dates and she will break up with you at Rank 9. This seems to be a good shot at all of the gamers who just look at the romantic subplot as just a way to collect a harem. To go from Haseo's almost big-brother relationship with Gaspard to Yosuke and Teddie's constant bickering can be rather amusing.

** Plenty with Chie. The conversation on Saki's appearance on the Midnight Channel (My soulmate is a girl?). Who was Yukiko's ''Prince''? ''Chie''!
** Also, Teddie is totally gay for you. Seriously. Talk to him before you leave Inaba and you'll get a conversation in which Teddie ''offers to take off his outfit for you.''
** Yosuke has more than a few moments with ''you.'' "I'll invite Daisuke; don't want to look like we're dating." "You look like you're good with your hands--uh, never mind." "If I had to choose, I'd choose you! You're so handsome and reliable! Tee-hee!"
*** The entire Magician Rank 9 scene. It has the wonderfully ambiguous "I have family and friends... [[MyFriendsAndZoidberg and you]]," as well as "You're special to me." Not to mention the Rank 8 scene. If you choose "You were just upset" in Rank 7, you will get the option to hug him (and I mean the around-the-waist kind) after the rank goes up.
*** Not to mention the Rank 5 scene where he awkwardly asks whether you keep [[PornStash the goods]] under your futon and if you've ever invited a girl into your room. If you answer the latter in the negative, Yosuke says "I guess you're more of a man's man than I thought!" and the narrator informs you that "Yosuke looks happy..."
*** If you look at it from a certain way, the Rank 10 scene where you and him have a brief brawl. Not to mention that afterwards [[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything you both end up sprawled out on the grass, Yosuke remarks how "that sure beat words" and says "You really are something" after you spend a long time with him.]]

* LesYay: One popular interpretation of Chie's and Yukiko's friendship. Of course it helps that their respective shadows actually talked about their dependency on one another.
** And then there all the female party members feeling up [[spoiler: Naoto]] in the bathhouse.

* LimitedWardrobe: Subverted in town, where PCs wear a variety of seasonal clothing, but played straight in battle. The latter is [[HandWave supposedly explained]] by the need to conceal their equipment under their school uniforms.

* AscendedMeme: What was once a throwaway line about cabbage became Adachi's signature item according to the fandom. And that meme became immortalized in the animated adaption.

Nor does Mitsuo, for the same reason. [[BigBad Adachi]], who accepted his Shadow early on, managed to get the ability to summon a Persona while still being a sociopath, and Yu got his power through Divine Meddling.]]

** [[spoiler:The BonusBoss]] is also an example, having even more similarity to the players method of fighting, including Yu's Wild Card.

* PantheraAwesome: One of the personas Yu can have is Ose, who is a bipedal, dual-sword wielding, cape-wearing cheetah.

* UptownGirl: Yu (middle class) with Yukiko ({{Ojou}}) or Ai (NouveauRiche) are possible pairings.
