* GuideDangIt: The instructions you can open after you pause the game fail to specify certain things:
** In the first game, it fails to mention that college kids are somewhat more patient than business ladies in the line and that hot shots are a tad more patient than business ladies on the table
** Joggers never order dessert. Furthermore, other customers have different thresholds for ordering dessert.
** "Low" and "high" tipping is not entirely specific from "Diner Dash 4: Hometown Hero" onwards, as teens tip less than seniors, and cellphone addicts tip more than business women.
** "Flo Through Time" has many new customers:
*** Cavemen are equivalent to Cellphone Addicts
*** Egyptian ladies are equivalent to Young Ladies
*** Viziers are equivalent to Food Critics
*** Soldiers are equivalent to Business Women
*** Pirate ladies are equivalent to Young Ladies
*** Corporal pirates act like Celebrities at 3 or more stars, do nothing at 2.5 stars and act like Cellphone Addicts at 2 or fewer stars
** Other mechanics are useful or even essential to know but are never mentioned anywhere.
** For the levels where you must seat customers in seats with matching colours, you have to be wary when seating families, as the baby will move when you use the highchair. Doing this will irreversibly change the colour of the chair he's moved to. However, this is never mentioned.
** Flo can stay at the podium, where Flo can automatically recharge this (similar to the hostess/Quinn phone support), even enabling you to go AFK. While many players will figure this out eventually, this is never specified anywhere. Regardless, it is very useful for many reasons, and many strategies use this:
*** You can seat as many customers as possible to optimize chaining and fully utilize seating space. This includes seating multiple smaller groups at the bar to take advantage of the increased bonuses for large chains.
*** You can seat impatient customers together so you can leave patient customers on the line unattended.
*** You can pick specific customers for other reasons, such as not pairing Cellphone Addicts with Bookworms, avoiding picking tourists for the time being as their getting their photo messes up combos.
*** For levels that necessitate colour-matching, you can pick specific customers by colours.
** Multiple things about the podium are never mentioned:
*** In "Diner Dash 2," you can click on the podium again right after it is used to recharge it. However, this was most likely a bug rather than a feature, as it was never mentioned as a feature there and was patched in "Diner Dash 3: Flo on the Go."
*** In "Diner Dash 4: Hometown Hero," the podium has been nerfed so that it has a larger recharge time.
** The busser called by phone gets cheques and clears plates. However, you don't get any points for doing so, thus likely doing more harm than good.

* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: Mr. Big started off as a guy with genuinely good intentions before meeting Flo and Grandma Florence in ''Cooking Dash 3'', who helped him reach the top of the corporate ladder with the recovery of his then-failed amusement park project, which drove him to becoming greedy and ruthless. Then in ''Restaurant Rescue'', he seeks to establish a large restaurant of his own by attempting to force several restaurant owners who are friends of Flo to give their properties to him; he eventually changes his mind after Flo prevents such thing and shows him that it's not necessary to take over other restaurants to begin his own. Ever since ''Boom!'', he turned back to being evil and has remained like that.
