A young man named Rex lives among an endless ocean of clouds, where the last remnants of civilization live on the backs of colossal beasts called Titans. He finds Pyra, a mysterious being known as a Blade who grants him tremendous power, and together they go searching for Pyra’s long lost home Elysium, the ultimate paradise for all of humanity. Unfortunately, many different factions are after Pyra as well, each with their own reasons. It is up to Rex to defend Pyra from all of these different antagonists on their way to Elysium.

* LivingWeapon: Pyra is a Blade and is therefore immortal. She has the ability to recover from injuries quickly unless the "core" on her chest is destroyed or her "Driver" dies.

* SwordOfPlotAdvancement: The sword Rex carries. %%May or may not be the Monado.

** One of the areas in the game apparently takes place on a massive creature, just like how the world of ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles'' took place on the bodies of the Bionis and the Mechonis.

Creator/YasunoriMitsuda, ACE+, Kenji Hiramatsu and Manami Kiyota will all be composing the music, while Masatsugu Saito (''Manga/Cyborg009 Call of Justice'', ''Anime/ExpelledFromParadise'') will be doing the character designs.

* MsFanservice: Pyra's design screams this. She was made by a hentai artist and it certainly follows. Her bust size is massive in comparison to everyone else, her outfit is {{Stripperiffic}} that shows off most of the butt and back, she shows off her thighs with ZettaiRyouiki and she has quite a bit of {{Gainaxing}}.

* InternalHomage: The trailer has a scene with a red sword impaled on a grassland and facing a gigantic object from a distance, a nod to ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles'' boxart and title screen.

* BoobsOfSteel: Pyra is a legendary Blade who has tremendous physical power and she's by far the most bustiest character.

* DubNameChange: Homura to Pyra.

** Territorial Rotbart returns once again, reprising his role as a level 81 Unique Monster the player can encounter (and die horribly to) early on. Applies to monsters in general, as the ant/spider hybrid Arachno's, Flamii, Amu, Eks, etc. are all shown to be in as well alongside new ones.
