''VS Hex Mod'' is a ''VideoGame/FridayNightFunkin'' GameMod created by [=YingYang48=] and released in 2021. In it, the Boyfriend raps with Hex, a friendly robot who's not interested in the Girlfriend. He'd rather play basketball instead.

On a much smaller scale there's his happening to run into the Boyfriend, who's both kind enough to oblige a series of rap battles and is skilled enough to [[spoiler:hold his own against the virus that infects him.]]

* DarkAndTroubledPast: Surprisingly enough for someone as upbeat and friendly as Hex.
** Part 1: He was originally commissioned by a very wealthy but lonely man, called the Rich Guy. The company invented new robotics features specifically for Hex but unfortunately, the CEO got greedy and wanted to mass-produce the innovations and sell them to the market, so he terminated the contract without the Rich Guy's knowledge.
** Part 2: Now nothing more than an expensive prototype, Hex was abandoned in a storage closet and it was only due to sheer luck that he was put under a window that gave him enough sunlight to charge his solar panels and escape. The Rich Guy came to check on his work and left disappointed but also by chance, runs into Hex and recognizes him as the friend he wanted. The two enjoy several years of fun together... before the Rich Guy passes away of old age and leaves his fortune to Hex.
** Part 3: Hex quickly realizes firsthand that all that money can't buy him happiness, so he decides to join the local basketball team, as it was a sport he and Rich Guy used to play together. He builds a fan club for himself thanks to his skill and being (literally) a super-fast calculating machine but he still finds himself without a partner to sing karaoke with, another of his and the Rich Guy's old past times. It's only after he runs into the Boyfriend at the park that his life takes a significant turn for the better.
