* AwesomeYetImpractical: The Gunner class. Don't let their weapon's high firing rate (40 shots) fool you; unless they're doing interception fire or support fire in team attack, they shoot ''across a wide area'' instead of a single target, reducing their supposed damage output in the process. You can try firing from close range to increase the damage output, but even then, it is difficult.

** Despite being a PREQUEL, Armored Techs are even MORE useful here then they were in 2: when they end they turn, they crouch down and plant their shield on the ground in front of them, providing a handy curtain of frontal cover from incoming enemy fire. Possibly justified in that it seems the Nameless are used as Guinea Pigs for experimental military tech. It should be noted, however, that unless the player has them crouch (near the sandbags) beforehand, they will still take normal damage (headshots included) were they attacked from sidelines or behind.
** Snipers. Triple-shot snipers. You want them, you need them. It's the pinnacle of eliteness to blast the head of the Darcssen Knights from halfway across the map, and you HAVE to do this, because there are effectively no other way to deal with them save for going Valkyria.
* BeachEpisode: Episode 7. The Nameless Win a Vacation after aiding Leon Hardins' squad. Too bad it gets interrupted by Dahau himself.

* ArmyOfThievesAndWhores: The Nameless includes repeat arsonist, convicted murderer, brothel madame, con artist, draft-dodger, sadistic dominatrix, trigger-happy alcoholic, and [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking money-grubbing mechanic]]. The leader is charged with treason. What a merry band of undesirables!
* AwesomeYetImpractical: The Gunner class. Don't let their weapon's high firing rate (40 shots) fool you; unless they're doing interception fire or support fire in team attack, they shoot ''across wide area'' instead of a single target, reducing their supposed damage output in the process. You can try firing from close range to increase the damage output, but even then, it is difficult.
* AwesomeYetPractical: Tanks. Moreso then in previous entries, because now taking action with your Tank only costs ONE CP, no matter its size. As usual, the Tank wades through small arms fire and serves as a great shield.
** Despite being a PREQUEL Armored Tech's are even MORE useful here then they were in 2, when they end they turn, they crouch down and plant their shield on the ground in front of them, providing a handy curtain of frontal cover from incoming enemy fire. Possibly justified in that it seems the Nameless are used as Guinea Pigs for experimental military tech. It should be noted, however, that unless the player has them crouch (near the sandbags) beforehand, they will still take normal damage (headshots included) were they attacked from sidelines or behind.

* {{Nerf}}: While Fencer class is a full-fledged MightyGlacier in the [[ValkyriaChroniclesII previous game]] thanks to their defense and damage output, in this entry Fencer no longer wears full armor and has smaller shield, making them more susceptible to damage, thus somewhat pushing them into GlassCannon territory.
