* WriteWhatYouKnow: The few characters present in ''Mighty Warrior'' are not so subtly inspired by Takeshi's surroundings. A merge of Takeshi and Hiroshi gets to be the hero, while Erika is transformed into a monster. [[spoiler: After getting to know Yosuke, Takeshi turns him into the hero's trustworthy and helpful partner.]]

* FatalFlaw: Takeshi's is {{Pride}}. On some level, his desire for Hiroshi's praise and admiration is why he's making ''Mighty Warrior'' to begin with. However, he doesn't want others to see his game because he's afraid they'll see how sparsely programmed it actually is. When Erika suggests he work with another classmate on the game, he gets so worked up he makes a monster version of her in the game. [[spoiler: He eventually overcomes these flaws for Hiroshi's sake.]]

''Takeshi & Hiroshi" is an indie video game developed by Oink Games and first released for the iPhone via Apple Arcade in November 2019 followed by a release for UsefulNotes/NintendoSwitch in August 2020.

14-year-old Takeshi is a game designer to-be who is creating a new video game for his younger brother Hiroshi, a child who is dealing with an illness and wants nothing more than to finish playing the video game. Takeshi has to design the game to give Hiroshi a fair challenge but not so hard that he winds up losing.

!!Tropes present in this game:
* BigBrotherMentor: Obviously Hiroshi really looks up to Takeshi and treats him as a hero.
* ConsoleCameo: One of the consoles on the boys' shelf clearly represents a Nintendo Switch.
* ShowWithinAShow: More accurately, the game within a game, which is the video game that Takeshi is developing.
