Garuda confirms it saying that it's true that he is a robot. Garuda tells Hyouma and the Combattler team that this is a battle with no hate behind them, a fair fight to the end. He only wishes that he had realized things sooner before Mia had been destroyed. Folka notes that pride alone isn't capable of changing things, he wonders what is necessary in order to break free of the cycle of tragedy. Hyouma muses that he wished that he and Garuda had met under different circumstances and Folka agrees that Garuda was a very prideful warrior even if what he believed in was incorrect.

** Thanks to the heavily Dunbine/Escaflowne-centric plot, there are no outer space missions. Unlike the Earth Crisis portion of Compact 2, the Space terrain stat is completely removed from unit profiles.
** There are a measly three Combination Attacks: "Double Burning Fire" (Anime/MazingerZ and Anime/GreatMazinger), "Twin Aura Slash" (Dunbine and Billbine), and "Sisters Attack" (both Teirings).
** Likewise, there are very few secrets in the game. Beyond the MutuallyExclusivePartyMembers situation involving Getter RoboGetter Robo G and the opportunity to recruit Kouchou Oni vs Shin Getter Robo and an automatically-joining Tekkou Oni, there's only Naria and Eriya and the option to pick up the Camouflage Billbine. This means that Compact 3 is one of the rare games featuring Dunbine where Tod Guiness cannot be recruited.

** Given that the low-key opening theme of Betterman doesn't jive well with [=SRW=]'s general tradition of including the first opening song when a series debuts, much less a [=SRW=] game on the Wonderswan, the developers decided to make an exception and utilize its ending song instead. This, amusingly enough, mirrors its North American broadcast run, which bookended each episode with the ending instead of bothering with the opening.

* Sampling: Super Robot Wars use of recorded bits of audio to help its chiptune music approximate the original songs was nothing new at this point, but its usage sticks out here as the Wonderswan's audio was otherwise woefully underpowered by the time Compact 3 released. By far the most notable application is "Epistle" from Anime/TheVisionOfEscaflowne, a song whose main melody consists of OminousLatinChanting.

The addition of Anime/TheVisionOfEscaflowne alongside the returning Anime/AuraBattlerDunbine and the first "true" storyline usage of New Story of Aura Battler Dunbine create a game that is known for dimension hopping and magical mecha. Compact 3 is notorious for a peculiar game compared to its contemporaries within the Super Robot Wars series. It was released during the final year of the Wonderswan's life cycle; Banpresto shipped a mere 15,000 copies to stores, and most indications are that an even lower amount was actually sold. (Compare that to the 200,000-250,000 that VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsDestiny, which released around the same timeframe, sold.) The game mechanics are a strange mix of classic design and more modern traits, so one gets pilot customization while also having to work around the "Limit" unit stat. Ryusuke note of the Mechander team suggests that if they can get rid of cleaning up the pollution and damage to their world; that should world might be fine with Mika also a better deterrent against the Congistar forces than trying to stage an attack on Ganymede. The Endless Waltz cast is up for it, noting that if they can keep their planet clean and green, the Conquestor hopefully wouldn't attack again. Noin note that that sounds at least that's a lot like a new battle for them with Zechs noting that it's one without fighting this time to which Duo says that he's up for it. Heero note that it's also a war in which they will not need their Gundams and Quatre says that they should let their Gundam rest from now on.doesn't involve fighting.

* OutOfCharacterAlert: During the attack on the Omega Missile base in Compact 3, Folka then attacks Fernando and demands to know what is wrong with Fernando since Fernando isn't usually this kill happy but Fernando says what's wrong with that, all Shura are born to fight and kill and strive for the position of General. Folker wonders what changed Fernando like this but Fernando tells him to shut up and fight and die. After beating him, Fernando then says, "What a redundant moron" which perks Folka's ear and Folka says that he won't be hesitant anymore, he'll defeat Fernando and Fernando says that Folka can try. Folka then smirks and says "How about revealing your true face... You can't fool my eyes." "Fernando" then asks how Folka knew that he wasn't really Fernando and Folka says that he hasn't forgotten Fernando's fist (The way of the martial arts, fighter recognize, communicate, etc with their fist) "Fernando" reveals himself to be Arco who says that he didn't think Folka had gotten this strong and Folka says that the power of belief has made him stronger. Arco then says that when the REAL Fernando awakens then Folka wouldn't be talking big like this and Arco notes that this is it for him, looks like what that girl said was true.

* VillainTeamUp: After scenario 10, Yazan notes that they've finally returned to the surface but they've lost Jerid and with this little firepower, they can't take out the Argama. A Titans solider tells Yazan that a Shura mech is coming in their direction. It is Alion and Yazan asked what he wants since he has no business with the Shura. Alion asks if he's targeting the Argama and knows of a Rakan Dakaran. Yazan note that Rakan was a Neo Zeon officer, maybe he'd like to hear more of what Arion wants to say right now. Arion says that Rakan has join forces with them to attack the Argama which is why he'd like Yazan to join as well. Yazan considers it and he thought, what the heck, Neo Zeon and the Titans may have been enemies but that doesn't concern him as long as he sinks the Argama so he's in.
