** Radical One is both great at racing and a surprisingly good waster with good air control, but is heavily reliant on being at full or near-full Power and has poor Power Save. As such, you have to be on point with your stunts and control to perform well with it.
** DR Monstaa, being a monster truck, has rather unique physics that cause it to bounce away from most impacts, often racking up high-value stunts by complete accident and making it easy to maintain Power while going toe-to-toe with other cars. On the other hand, said physics also make it quite difficult to actually waste anything with it compared to cars like EL KING, though its high Strength and Endurance mean it's very good at doing so once you have a handle on its finicky behavior, and unlike EL KING and M A S H E E N it actually has good speed and air control.

Per TRS, this is YMMV

* CameraScrew: The kindest term that can be applied to the game's camera is a product of its time, seeing as how it's glued to its position and can't be controlled independently of the selected vehicle, meaning that keeping track of other vehicles, whether for the sake of wasting them or avoiding them, is a struggle at the best of times.

* SturgeonsLaw: This came into full effect the moment registered players were allowed to use cars they made in ''[=NFMSP=]'''s Car Maker in ''[=NFMM=]''.

Up To Eleven is a defunct trope

* MightyGlacier: [=EL KING=] in ''[=NFM1=]'' and M A S H E E N in ''[=NFM2=]''. Both cars will completely waste virtually any other car if they attack at full Power and speed, but they are much, much slower than the other cars and perform poorly at stunts. M A S H E E N, in particular, takes this trope UpToEleven. It can destroy almost ''any other car'' with ''one hit'' in ''[=NFM2=]'' at full Power and speed, and most mid-tier cars cannot damage it unless they hit it at full Power. However, it can never pursue a fleeing car because it is so slow—even [[JokeCharacter Nimi]] can outrun it—and its massive size and mass means that it can only do barrel rolls or tabletops (i.e. [[SomeDexterityRequired launching off a ramp and landing upside-down and then launching off a second ramp using the car's momentum and landing upright]]) on any obstacle taller than a dirt ramp; it can only do vertical loops if it launches off the tallest ramps in the game at maximum speed and Power.

* UpToEleven: If you are able to combine four or more different types of stunts, the game will not be able to tell you exactly what stunts you performed, instead opting to display any one of the following messages:
-->''"Your a super star!!"\\
"What the...?"\\
"Who are you again...?"''

As neat as this game is, its camera bites.

* InterfaceScrew: Of a sort. It's usually possible to summon a map of the track, but doing so does not show the positions of other cars unless you also have your targeting arrow to point at them instead of the next checkpoint, meaning that it's not possible to track the other cars and where you're supposed to be going next simultaneously. This normally isn't too much of a problem as most of the courses are straightforward, but in the second to last track of the second game, the nonsense arrangement of the checkpoints means that if you're trying to win by first place, you'll have to choose between knowing which checkpoint is next or knowing if M A S H E E N is about to make a move on you. That "usually" is also the core of a different example, where in the second to last course your map and tracking arrows are disabled outright. At least in that case the worst you have to worry about for winning by first place is [=EL KING=].
