Added DiffLines:

* AntiFrustrationFeatures: The second game's final boss (at least) automatically saves your current time at the beginning and restarts at the beginning of the boss fight and resets the timer to said saved time if you die. Considering it is a fairly difficult fight and the level before it is also a difficult MarathonLevel compared to the rest of the game (with a par time of ''six and a half minutes''), you can basically do a perfect run with the stage itself and not worry about ruining it if you die fighting the boss.

** The second game's [[spoiler:final boss, (which appears to be a giant one-eyed dragon creature) also counts, though it is implied to be the cause of all the fires in the first place.]]

* CompetitiveMultiplayer: ''Academy'' has a mode where you and other players try to arrest the most Hooligans out of the others. In this mode, Switching is limited to whoever has a Hooligan, in which case they glow and can Switch at will. There are even items that players can get to help them get the jump on their opponents.
* CooperativeMultiplayer: On the other side, ''Academy'' also allows players to play through the main game with friends. How easy or difficult this makes the game depends heavily on how well you can cooperate with one another.

* TheDevTeamThinksOfEverything: Starting a level, Patricia will spout a oneliner along the lines of "Halt! In the name of the law!" or "Phew, it's ''sooo'' hot!". If you get damaged while she's saying it, the phrase stops as she cries out in pain.

An HD version of the game was released as a WiiU launch title and is available to download on the Nintendo eShop.

A sequel apty-titled ''Mighty Switch Force! 2'' was released for the 3DS eShop in 2013. This time around severe fires are ablaze all over Planet Land, so Patricia swaps out her cop gear for firefighter equipment. Despite the change-up, the core game play remains the same as you now need to rescue the reformed Hooligan Sisters who have been trapped by the inferno.

inferno.

Like the first game, ''Mighty Switch Force! 2'' was given a Wii U and Steam re-release, going with ''Hose It Down!'' for its subtitle.

A third game, a sort of sequel-spin-off called ''Mighty Switch Force! Academy'', was made specifically for Steam. It has Patricia and the Hooligan Sisters enter a simulation of their usual encounters, but something seems to go wrong when Patricia dons the VR headgear...

''Academy'' returns to the first game's style of puzzles, only blown up to full-screen, and features four-player simultaneous gameplay, where players either compete or cooperate to solve the puzzles.

''Mighty Switch Force!'' is a 2011 PuzzlePlatformer from Creator/{{WayForward|Technologies}}. In this third game in the loose ''Mighty'' series (with ''VideoGame/MightyFlipChamps'' and ''VideoGame/MightyMilkyWay''), you repeatedly chase down five escaped convicts (the Hooligan Sisters) across 16 levels. The key mechanic this time is that you have power over certain blocks in each level: They are either out (and you can stand on them) or in (and you can't).
