** Snake may be midway through a vital mission, and he may have just successfully tracked down his old friend Naomi, [[spoiler: who appears to have major health problems of her own]], but he still finds time to fake dropping his cigarette so he can try and look up her skirt.[[note]]Very possibly a bit of lampshading aimed at the player; in the game, cutscenes are interactive at times, with the option sometimes given to switch to Snake's POV. A player used to this might expect the POV option to appear at this point, but it does not.[[/note]]

** The final boss is a fistfight between Snake and Liquid, just like in the first Solid game. To top it off, as the fight goes on it plays iconic songs from 1, 2, and 3 while stills of Ocelot are placed over the battle, culminating with one final "You're pretty good" after it's all over.

Of course, it's highly likely that Liquid's RAY was one of the mass produced models rather than the Marines' original SuperPrototype, as REX is able to hold its own against and ''beat'' it. ** Doubt it, as the mass produced RAY's were non-manned and designed to be controlled by an AI. The one Ocelot uses was probably the Marine design.
