* PromotedToPlayable: Proto Man is playable from the start this time, unlike ''VideoGame/MegaMan9''; this time, Bass, who was curiously absent in ''9'', is available via DLC. He plays virtually identical to how he did in ''VideoGame/MegaManAndBass'', only without the DoubleJump.
** Bass wasn't completely gone from ''9''; he [[http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090423135039/megaman/images/0/0b/8-bitBass.png appears]] in the ending. Additionally, WordOfGod has it that Bass was [[http://www.rockmancorner.com/2008/11/fortes-abscence-in-rm9-officially.html undergoing adjustments]] at the time, possibly hinting to his DLC appearance in the next title.
