* DawsonCasting: In the remake, Sora is supposed to be fourteen at this point like in the original ''Kingdom Hearts'', yet the voice of Haley Joel Osment sounds nothing like a kid anymore. Averted in the original Game Boy Advance, however, because Sora's voice came from sound files reused from ''Kingdom Hearts''.

''Chain of Memories'' was later remade as a PlayStation2 game (titled ''Re:Chain of Memories'') as part of the [[NoExportForYou Japan-only]] release of ''VideoGame/KingdomHeartsII: Final Mix+''. It was (much later) released as a standalone PS2 game in North America. [[NoExportForYou Europe and Australia never got it]], but will be getting ''Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix'', which will contain ''Re:Chain of Memories'' remastered in HD.

* Awesome, Yet Practical: Riku can instantly reload his deck, unlike Sora who needs to leave himself open for alot of time to reload it. He can also use boss cards freely due to having a fixed deck, and once he gains a boss card, he keeps it in his deck for the rest of the game. Meaning certain cards like the Oogie Boogie card and Maleficient card are extremely useful for him, having no downsides.

** For Sora, it's Card Points(CP). The more CP he has, the more cards he can put into his deck and the more powerful the level of cards he can put into his deck at a time. This leads to being able to use more and more Sleights and Enemy cards in combat with ease.
** For Riku, it's Dark Points(DP). Once Riku is in Dark Mode he has increased speed, can utilize Sleights, and deals more damage. His three-hit combo even has the power to stun with the second hit. DP increase the length of time(reduced by damage and card breaks taken) that Riku is allowed to remain in Dark Form.

** The Jafar Card for Sora. It allows you to use 20 cards in a row(taking away 3 if you use a sleight) without getting card breaked. Meaning, you can spam powerful low cost sleights like Ars Arcanum without getting card broken and basically stun lock the enemy until the card effect runs out. This is one of the easiest ways to kill bosses.

Added DiffLines:

** The Lethal Frame (mistranslated as "Lethal Flame") sleight (Stop + Attack + Attack) stops time and allows Sora to quickly deliver a bunch of hits. When time starts again, the enemy starts taking damage and can't act for a few moments, allowing you to set up another one. Long strings of these can deal massive damage in boss fights.
** The Tornado Sleight (Aero + Gravity + Summon card) is absolutely unfair in both versions of the game: it creates a large funnel cloud that the player can control, which sucks up and immobilizes all Heartless it touches while dealing massive damage.
