Friday Night Funkin': B-Side Remixes is a GameMod that overhauls the demo build of VideoGame/FridayNightFunkin into what is effectively a "BSide" for the game, with all characters and most assets being recolored and every songs getting remixed.

Currently, the mod is in the process of getting a redux, with new designs, new songs and even new locations. A small sample of said redux was released on September 17, 2022, containing the remade Tutorial and first 2 weeks as well as Week 7. The mod can be downloaded on [=GameBanana=] here.

!!This mod contains the following tropes:
* AdaptationalBadass: Downplayed, but during Week 7, whereas the original Girlfriend just held her arms up without a care in the world whilst 2 Tankmen held her at gunpoint, in "Guns", B-Sides Girlfriend pulls out a bat covered in spikes and just casually clubs every one of Tankman's bikers that tries to hold her hostage whilst Boyfriend and Tankman sing.
* AdaptationalLocationChange:
** Week 2 takes place at an arcade rather than a spooky house.
** Week 7 takes place outside a tavern rather than in the middle of a warzone, to fit with Tankman and his troops now being a biker gang rather than a soldier troop.
* BaitAndSwitch: "Shiver", the third song for the Redux version of Week 2, starts out with Boyfriend singing against Skid and Pump like in "Spookeez" and "South", only for the lights to got out, and when they come back, everyone except for Boyfriend is gone, and Monster is now the opponent.
* CameoCluster: In addition to a handful of cameos originating from the vanilla game, multiple creators and characters from the modded universe make their appearance in the Classic Week 5 second floor. Including, but not limited to: Tricky, Hex, Carol, Whitty.
* HaveWeMet: Senpai's dialogue deviates from the original by cutting his dialogue short with this response, as if the encounter was not the first one.
* LaterInstallmentWeirdness: A major update in September of 2022, about a year after the first release of the mod, would tweak the designs of the cast to slightly deviate from the PaletteSwap aesthetic and making it more akin to mods such as D-Sides.
* PaletteSwap: Effectively, the mod as a whole is this to Friday Night Funkin[='=], it being the most apparent with the different color schemes the whole cast now sport.

AdaptedOut:
** Classic has no remix for "Monster", leaving Week 2 takes place at an arcade rather than a spooky house.
** Week 7 takes place outside a tavern rather than in the middle of a warzone, to fit
with Tankman and his troops now being a biker gang rather than a soldier troop.
* BaitAndSwitch: "Shiver",
just two songs.
** Trope: in Redux,
the third song for the Redux version of Week 2, starts out 2 begins with Boyfriend singing against Skid and Pump like Pump, leading the player to think Monster has been removed in "Spookeez" and "South", favor of a new song for the spooky kids, only for the lights screen to got out, SmashToBlack and when they come back, everyone except for Boyfriend reveal he is gone, and Monster is now the opponent.

still very much present.
* PaletteSwap: Effectively, the mod To sell it as a whole "B Side", all of the characters sprites are the same, just with different colors, such as Boyfriend going from red and blue to pink and purple. For Skid and Pump in particular, they swap colors with each other, so now Pump is this white and Skid is orange. In Redux, these designs were made more unique, though still stick to the core idea of a PaletteSwap by not diverging too far from the originals.
* MythologyGag:
** Week 2 in Redux takes place in a "phantom arcade" -- Phantom Arcade, of course, being one of the creators behind the original
Friday Night Funkin[='=], it being Funkin[='=].
** The original "Shiver" was a song made by a composer for
the most apparent with mod, JADS, unrelated to B-Side and meant as another song for Skid and Pump back when "Monster" was unimplemented in the different color schemes base game.
** Pico's colorscheme in Classic is taken from Otis, Pico's cousin and star of
the whole cast game of the same name. In Redux his outfit is changed, but he now sport.sports the toothgap from Mindchamber's design for Pico used in works such as Pico Unloaded" and VideoGame/NewgroundsRumble.
** In addition to the NG on his shoes that the canon Boyfriend has, Redux Boyfriend has the Angry Faic symbol on the bottom half of his soles.

** The classic remix for "South" samples the "Past" voice-clip from VideoGame/SonicCD.
** When Monster makes his appearance in Week 2, the screens of the arcade cabinets display the mug of Corrupted BF.
* SupernaturalGoldEyes: In "Roses", Senpai's eyes become distinctly yellow upon getting angry. While Senpai themselves may not necessarily be supernatural in any way, the one trapped inside them, Spirit, most definitely is.

VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehogCD towards the end.
** When Monster makes Monster's new design in Redux has large pointed horns and a permanent sharp-toothed grin: when combined with him being fought in an arcade, it brings to mind Music/LemonDemon and his appearance in Week 2, song "Cabinet Man".

* AdaptationalBadass: Rather than just let Tankman's bikers hold her hostage as in the original game, Girlfriend pulls out a spiked bat during "Guns" and smashes it into the faces of approaching Tankmen.

* CreatorCameo: The team behind the mod are visible in the windows of the tavern during Week 7.
* FunnyBackgroundEvent:
** During "Guns", Girlfriend pulls out a bat and begins swinging at the bikers trying to take her hostage.
** In "Stress", Pico hops onto the speakers and shoots at approaching bikers, like the original game. Towards the song's end, one catches him by surprise and the two fight on top of the speakers.
* HostileShowTakeover: Even more so than the original game, where Monster gets the third song of Week 2 to himself, in Redux he takes over "Shiver" from Skid and Pump a few turns in.
* HPToOne: In "Shiver", Boyfriend's health gets put at one during two points: the first is when Monster appears, and the second is at the tail end of the song, which is followed by a few extra notes from Boyfriend.
* MeaningfulBackgroundEvent: After the scene transition in "Dad Battle", Girlfriend's right eye gains the same yellow glow her father's eyes have.
* OhCrap:
** Girlfriend gains a panicked expression and BlankWhiteEyes when two bikers pop up behind her holding knives at the start of "Guns".
** Pico goes from his normal cocky demeanor to a shocked look moments before a biker jumps onto the speakers and tries to wrestle him off it in "Stress".
* RunningGag: Redux[='=]s music has fun taking cues from the original songs and Classic[='=]s remixes and then subverting expectations, such as Girlfriend actually singing during "Tutorial", the second beatbox segment in "Fresh" being extended and leading back into more singing, and Monster's takeover during "Shiver".
