An UpdatedRerelease has also been made for the UsefulNotes/PlayStation4 and UsefulNotes/XboxOne, which finally allowed the game an international release in 2015 (March 17 in the USA, 19 in Japan, and 20 in Europe, along with a Steam release on August 18), bundled together with a voucher for the ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXV: Episode Duscae'' demo. Due to its BloodierAndGorier nature compared to the rest of the franchise, ''Type-0 HD'' is the first and so far only ''Final Fantasy'' game to receive a "Mature" (17+) rating in the USA's ESRB system, and "C" (15+) for Japan's CERO.

* Subverted also in the ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfHeroesTrailsOfColdSteel'' games. Most of your player characters are part of the Thors Academy Class VII. Previously, Class I was well-regarded, being made up entirely of nobles. However, Class VII is a special new experiment containing a mixed group of both commoners and nobles, with your main character, Rean Schwarzer, being a commoner who was adopted as a baby into a noble family.

Added DiffLines:

* AlwaysInClassOne: Suverted, actually all of your player characters are a part of the elite Class Zero, a special unit created within the academy that is the focus of much of your time in the game. Class One does exist and apparently had a fair amount of clout before Class Zero came on the scene, though there are those who claim also that Class Eleven was the cream of the crop before Class Zero.

* AttackItsWeakPoint: The purpose of the yellow Breaksight target.and Killsight hits. Breaksights takes off a set amount of health from the target; Killsights are a OneHitKill.
* AwesomeButImpractical: A lot of the SP-unlockable magic qualifies as this (if only for their ludicrous MP costs), but Aloud takes the cake: about seven shots in random directions across a 180-degree arc are not likely to hit anything, ever. The description even states that the accuracy is infamous throughout the dominion.

** The Militesi Empire's Crystal Jammer weapon, when activated, negates the magic power from the Vermilion Bird Crystal, rendering the people of the dominion powerless. Because Class Zero's power source is not from the Crystal, they can bypass this ban, though Machina and Rem are still affected, thus during the Big Bridge mission in Chapter 6, Rem cannot be added to the battle party until the rest of the class destroys a jammer weapon in the area.

Due to its BloodierAndGorier nature compared to the rest of the franchise, ''Type-0 HD'' is the first and so far only ''Final Fantasy'' game to receive a "Mature" (17+) rating in the USA's ESRB system, compared to "C" (15+) for Japan's CERO, "16+" for Europe's PEGI, and "[=MA15=]" for Australia's ACB, all of which are average franchise-wide ratings, comparable to the ESRB's "Teen" (13+).
