''Dead Pixels'' is a {{Retraux}} game developed by CSR Studios and released in 2012 for UsefulNotes/XboxLive and UsefulNotes/{{Steam}}. As its name suggests, it is drawn with pixel graphics and places the player in the middle of a city-wide ZombieApocalypse.

* DoingItForTheArt: The game was made by one man and only costs a dollar, yet has over 100 weapons and items, dozens of zombie types, fairly complex gameplay, and an excellent soundtrack.

A {{sequel}}, ''Dead Pixels II'', has been slated for late 2019, but will likely be delayed.

* ColorCodedForYourConvenience: Ammo will share the same color text as the weapon it goes with. For example, the different types of shotguns all have orange text along withthe shotgun shells themselves. Assault rifle ammo is light blue like many of the guns it goes with. This is really useful as it helps prevent the player from buying the wrong type of ammo when they go to a store.

* ShotgunsAreJustBetter: Not only does the character in the main game start with a shotgun, they come in a wide variety of types such as the Chambers Shotgun, Sawed-Off Shotgun, and [[UpToEleven Quad-Barreled Shotgun.]]

* NiceHat: Player 2 in co-op games has one.

* MegaNekko: E. Vickers, who serves as your MissionControl for "The Solution."

Two new modes, called "The Solution" and "Last Stand", were later added for free to everyone who bought the game.

* BreatherBoss: The Queen. Her only attack is an acid spit, so as long as you get her pattern down and know when to keep your distance, its pretty easy to avoid getting hit.
