* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: The older videos that were released before ''[[VideoGame/FridayNightFunkinOnlineVS Online VS.]]'' had "Challeng-Edd" have the ''Eddsworld'' boys appear as they do in ''Legacy'', using sprites from ''VideoGame/VsEddsworld''.

* VillainousBreakdown: After [[spoiler:Tord knocks out Skid and Pump and Eduardo just starts singing in their place]], Tord goes from sadistic glee to actual ''anger'', glaring daggers at Edd and Eduardo while sending barrages of notes at the two in the final moments of "[=SpookEDD=]". His missle notes also go from being in time with the song to sent out with little rhyme or reason, including when they can't even be hit.

** In ''Eddsworld'', even before Tord originally left, none of the boys are seen actually attacking or hurting any children whatsoever. In "[=SpookEDD=]", [[spoiler:Tord appears to be a flatout ChildHater, hurting Skid and Pump with a missle for no reason]].

* AdaptationalJerkass: A possibility. [[VideoGame/HoloFunk Nenechi]] shows some signs of BloodKnight tendencies that are absent in ''[=HoloFunk=]'' and ''WebAnimation/{{hololive}}'', seeing Senpai's continued physical deterioration as little more than an opportunity for Aloe to sharpen her singing skills at the poor guy's expense. In fact, throughout the "[[VideoGame/VsRetrospecter Ectospasm]]" cover, her sprites are edited to show a smug grin staring in Senpai's direction. Of course, it could also be attributed to Nenechi's actual childish behavior causing her to not be able to see the forest for the trees.

** The appearences of Eduardo and [[spoiler:Tord]] in "[=SpookEDD=]" are marked by the ScareCord that plays at the start of "Winter Horrorland".

* OrphanedReference: The riff from "Sunshine, Lollipops, and Rainbows" is omitted in "[=SpookEDD=]" while Tord reacting to it is kept, thus making Tord look like he's glaring at Skid and Pump for no reason.

* WingdingEyes: [[spoiler:Hearts for [[VideoGame/FridayNightFunkinCorruption corrupt]] [[VideoGame/HoloFunk Aloe]], with her original eyes sunken back into the rest of the black gunk consuming her]].

* EveryoneHasStandards: At the end of "[=SpookEDD=]", Edd and Matt, who are at the very least [[AntiHero anti-heroes]] in ''Eddsworld'', are horrified at seeing Skid and Pump injured by [[spoiler:Tord]]. Apparently, even they are against hurting children.

** The cover of "Triple Trouble" featuring Sonic and the opponents present in the 1.5 update of ''Vs. Sonic.exe'' has Sunky's jumpscare be the same one from ''Sunky.MPEG'', while Majin Sonic's is the "Fun is Infinite" screen he originated from. In addition, Lord X's laugh is the Kefka laugh, which is associated with him just as much as the original Sonic.exe.

* SelfDeprecation: In the Momi Roll cover [[https://youtu.be/7ykGGmYdWdY featuring Aloe and Senpai]], Blantad himself InUniverse notes how Senpai already used the line "I've got nothing better to do" twice already, remarking that his story writing is "pretty bad".

Further pushing him into the ground is the fact that [[VideoGame/HoloFunk Aloe]] now has her own vocals scrounged together from what little official content exists of her, which only further increases the amount of songs available to make covers of at his expense.
