On April 14, 2023, a {{DLC}} storyline; "The Mysterious Game Cosole" was released. Set after the events of the main story, it focuses on Ayane as she investigates an antique game console that holds the spirit of a young girl called Noni, who seeks assistance to find the way out from the device.

* ALadyOnEachArm: Lin, a KnowledgeBroker in Noctis City is introduced at the [[CoolestClubEver Nocturne Maze]] with both of his girlfriends sitting by his sides.
* AlertnessBlink: Occasionally, some characters with have '!' pop up overhead when facing something that takes them by surprise.
* AllThatGlitters: In one side-mission, Ann is asked by several treasure hunters to collect several gold coins scattered around Freeway 42 and have them checked out for their authenticity. The gold coins are later explained to be made of material that looks identical with gold, but is considered virtually worthless.
* AlternateSelf: Ann learns [[spoiler:the mysterious being that's connected to her, Amok, is an alternate version of herself due to sharing a dimensional link]].

* ButterflyOfDeathAndRebirth: During her first battle against [[BloodKnight Absalom]], Ann is quickly overpowered and receives a strike that renders her unconscious. After a brief venture into [[EldritchLocation Hinterland]], Ann's body becomes enveloped in energy as butterflies from the same power surrounds her as she awakens her SuperMode.
* ButtMonkey: Ann has several encounters with a {{mook}} that Ayane calls "Silly Swine", who acts as an incompetent target rather than a intimidating lackey. In the {{roofhopping}} area, his charge attack [[SelfDisposingVillain blasts him off towards the ground instead]], then Ann tracks him to a secret room in Noctis City, and when he tries to challenge Ann at the ShipLevel, she instantly [[CurbStompBattle curb-stomps]] him before sending him out the window.



* BuxomBeautyStandard: Ann Flores, the protagonist, is skilled in [[SheFu martial arts]] and shown to have a well-endowed bust, and it's conveyed promptly when she's wearing her [[StylishProtectionGear combat suit]].
* ByTheEyesOfTheBlind: Ann has repetitious encounters with a mysterious [[MysteriousStranger Masked Woman]] who discusses certain information before vanishing. After Ayane mentions she didn't see anyone, Ann realizes that she's the only one who can see the Masked Woman.

* CelibateHero: Ann doesn't show any particular romance towards someone, even turning down Nakamura's offer to be introduced to a suitable lover. * ComplainingAboutRescuesTheyDontLike: Downplayed. After Raymond rescues an unconscious Ann from a collapsing building during her battle with Loki, she calls him arrogant for rushing headfirst into danger.



* ConfusionFu: In the battle with Absalom, he displays a variety of abilities that have him instantly teleporting around the fighting area, summoning energy pillars from beneath the ground to deliver a brief attacks of red lightning as he pierces the floor.

* CorridorCubbyholeRun: At the [[ShipLevel Walter Raleigh]], the [[WardensAreEvil chief warden]] activates a hallway filled with bursting flamethrowers that disperse while waiting for an open area. Later at The Consortium's base, a LaserHallway moves large lasers that have to avoided by {{Wall Crawl}}ing around the platforms until most of the lasers have shifted enough to open the path forward.
* CorruptedData: Ann finds her brother's ROM heavily damaged that shows him searching for [[{{Panacea}} N540]] before the other half of the data is obscured by missing data.



* CrissCrossAttack: In the first battle against [[BloodKnight Absalom]], just as [[ActionGirl Ann]] managed to land a few strikes, he unleashes a CounterAttack with his blade that sends her upward while simultaneously attacking from several angles.



* CriticalHit: Critical damage occurs depending on the amount of {{combos}} done during battle, with a full critical strike occurring once an enemy's [[BodyArmorAsHitPoints armor bar]] has been fully depleted. There's also SocketedEquipment that boosts weapons critical percentage of delivering major damage.

* CyberNinja: Kunoichi is a member of The Consortium's Shadow Team that specializes in ninjutsu donning a cyber-suit that lets her perform a FlashStep while wielding a katana-like blade that extends from her armor.



* DamageReduction: The 654-2 item implements an increased reduction from damage for sixty seconds. All enemies have an [[BodyArmorAsHitPoints armor bar]] that significantly cuts the amount of damage given to them until it is fully depleted, with a FinishingMove dealing twice the amount before instantly refilling.



* DeadManWriting: Beneath [[AbandonedLaboratory Freeway 42]], Ann finds a victim of the hostile wildlife clutching onto a bloodstained paper containing the passcode needed to open the locked door and rescue the explorer being attacked by the grub creatures.



* DeathOfPersonality: In the bad ending, [[spoiler:Ann fully succumbs to her MomentOfWeakness upon seeing Ryan getting shot in front of her. At that moment, her SuperpoweredEvilSide, Amok, uses the opportunity to fully take over her body and unleash [[ApocalypseHow apocalyptic destruction]] on the entire world, with Amok having forcibly removed any trace of Ann to leave nobody that can oppose her]].



* DesignerBabies: The Consortium secretly engineered a proposition called The Gatekeeper Project that conducted experiments on seven young subjects by enhancing their dna to grant them inter-dimensional abilities that would be utilized in various methods to destroy [[EldritchLocation Hinterland]]. The project was soon halted after an incident resulted in a facility's destruction, while the seven subjects that obtained their powers were discarded and left on their own.

* DreamIntro: Ann's introduction begins with her having a FlashbackNightmare where she awakens in an abandoned town surrounded by snow and briefly walks towards an EldritchLocation before being woken up by someone knocking on her door.

* EmptyElevator: One side-quest at Skopp City involves searching for a suspect who is shown entering an elevator on surveillance footage and suddenly disappearing when it arrives at the next floor.
* EmptyRoomUntilTheTrap: Once Ann finds out [[spoiler:Ryan had previously visited Alan Doyle, she heads to Doyle's lab]] only to find the area vacated. Upon stepping into a nearby elevator, she's suddenly attacked by the [[MiniMecha MI Mecha]].

As he discusses the extent of his EvilPlan to his subordinates and casually dismisses his co-workers protest, they immediately call out on how [[YoureInsane insane]] he actually is. Overtime, the [[MaskOfSanity mask]] starts to crack apart as he realizes that his scheme is on the verge of being thwarted and forsakes his original plan to launching an assault against The Consortium to prevent anyone else from getting in his way.

One of significance is called [[TomeOfEldritchLore The Codex]], a mysterious scroll written in an ancient codified language. * TookAShortcut: Jos van Corn always happens to show up far in each area to sell his [[HyperactiveMetabolism Corn Juice]]. When Ann asks how he arrived so quickly, Jos replies he needs to expand his business to compete with his competitors by setting up shop in [[DungeonShop unexpected places]].



* UnintentionallyUnwinnable: The initial release had a grueling bug after you complete the Harbor Town Freighter area, if you return back to the Freighter, the boat ride to head back towards Harbor Town doesn't work, no matter how many times "go back" is selected, leaving you stuck, more-so if you saved at the point without any backups to get out of it. This was later fixed in a patch.
