The way it\'s worded implied it was never implemented into the final game. Doesn\'t an arc have to be started before it\'s aborted?

* AbortedArc:
** Early footage of the single-player campaign hinted at a subplot of the ''Hyperion'' crew considering a mutiny due to being underpaid and overworked. There is a similar subplot in the final product, but the motivation for the crew is not working conditions, it's [[spoiler:Jim's decision to work with the Dominion to defeat/rescue Kerrigan]]. The same footage showed you could return to Mar Sara for a mission later in the game. This was also scrapped.
** Kachinsky was originally planned to be another main character with his own set of missions to provide.

** Battlecruisers are also considered this in competitive play. Like the Mothership, they are big, slow, expensive, and at the end of the Terran tech tree. What really puts the nail in the coffin though is that all 3 armies have hard counters against battlecruisers that are signficantly cheaper and more versatile.
*** Though, almost every TvT game longer than 40 minutes at the highest level ends in Battlecruiser/Viking/Raven vs Battlecruiser/Viking/Raven where they throw away all their SCV's and tanks just to get more Battlecruisers, Vikings, and Ravens to clash in one final awesome battle which will decide the game where no one wants to attack first until one of the Players finally gets bored out of his skull and attempts to risk it.

* WeaksauceWeakness: The High Templar's feedback ability vs Maar. A single shot of feedback is enough to drain Maar's energy to prevent him from using his special abilities. And the Immortals not only counter his slow but powerful normal attack with their Hardened Shields, they also deal bonus damage to him.
** Maar doesn't count as armoured, he's biological - massive. Immortals are actually almost useless in that mission even though you get them there, best thing to do is quickly acquire the archive and go zealot / high templar / archon, stalkers are only useful in PvP insofar your enemy actually tries to micro with them, zealots beat stalkers even harder than immortals if they just stand there like the AI does even on brutal.

** This is essentially the mood for the cinematic ''A Better Tomorrow''. After breaking open New Folsom prison, Matt Horner believes that their real victory was releasing everyone who ever spoke out against Mengsk. That the point of their revolution is to build [[TitleDrop a better tomorrow]]. Tosh scoffs at this and calls it naive; claiming that tyranny can only be succeeded by tyranny, and that one can only fight the present enemy. Raynor is in the middle, believing that Matt's better future will arrive; but those fighting out of hatred and revenge, like him and Tosh, will have no place in it.
