History Tropers / TheGreatUnknown

Nakhta de Renaud is the Queen of Vulland, a FunnyAnimal kingdom in a Western European style setting. Her distinctively white-furred fox royal family tree [[RoyalBlood stretches back some 1000 years]], though it's rare that any one monarch [[HighTurnoverRate gets to enjoy the position for long]] with all the infighting, assassinations, and coups over the years. Nakhta's father was one such wily, long-reigning monarch, and even though she was the youngest of five kits, she was [[ParentalFavoritism the favorite]] and learned everything she knows from him. Like everyone in the family, she's [[RoyallyScrewedUp not entirely well]], acute paranoia that strikes from time to time and an absolute compulsion to scheme and plot being just two of her many issues. She was never expected to actually rule, though, until a tragically-timed accident at sea cost the lives of her mother, father, and all her siblings, leaving the just-adult vixen in charge. Once Nakhta has something, she's unwilling to part with it, particularly power, and only time will tell if she's capable of holding together such a fractious kingdom...

A huge fan of {{Anime}}, WesternAnimation, {{Literature}} and many films (okay, ''everything''), these tropes apply to me and my life:
* AdultChild (Me, but also my father and one of my uncles in particular.)
* AllForNothing (In my last year of elementary school, the school district put together a lot of money to build a beautiful, relaxing flower garden for students to sit in and admire, and to preserve butterflies. I spent months with my mother raising a butterfly just for this purpose--and mind you, this was our third attempt, as the other two butterflies had apparently been subject to pesticides and never emerged from the chrysalis. However, this one ''did'' survive, and I had the honor of releasing it in a special ceremony into the garden, where it looked wonderful. Two years later, I learned that the school had the garden removed to make room for new classrooms as the population of the township expanded.)
** On the bright side, though, I ''did'' get to see that butterfly (Chris-3) again; it must have been, as it willingly [[AllAnimalsAreDogs flew up next to the window of the car and flapped at us for a good minute or so, perhaps recognizing my mother and I]]. I swear to God.
