TV Tropes became my favorite wiki and possibly overall website pretty quickly. I love fiction and storytelling conventions. I attempt to create my own stories that one day I could make into cartoons. Hey guys, That 897 Guy here. Also known as [=Bones897=] and [=InvaderZim897=]. I'm a calm (to the point of being lazy), healthy, somewhat emotional individual who tries to be nice to people, but I also have a firm belief that only being nice is boring. Still, though, most of the people around me with the most friends seem to be the pushovers with barely any sense of humor. But even if it for some reason doesn't win me friends, I love to laugh, and the two friends I have that are the same way are enough. Anyway, I generally get along with everyone at least, and I just love being around people.

I am the definition of "someone with too much free time." I have no job and rarely any homework, and I don't use my free time productively as much as I should. But if I do something at the right time, which seems to be late at night, I can be pretty darn productive. I could be described as "nocturnal" because my sleep schedule seems to naturally drift in that direction. I can go from normal to nocturnal in 24 hours, but it takes days to go back. And even if I try to maintain the normal schedule, it slowly reverts anyway.

I attempt to make my own animation, but non-animated cartoon drawing is my true passion. I'm the creator of such series (that no one knows about [yet]) as ''Swampy'', ''Pizza and Friends'', ''Unlucky Duck'', ''Bob and Tom'' (a comic which had its main characters named by one of my friends. I hadn't heard of the radio show yet, unfortunately. [[FunnyAneurysmMoment I also later remembered a song I hated that was from that show]]), ''Lightning Man'', and my current series is one featuring what has become my main character, Chester, whom I created four or five years ago. I'm writing graphic novels about him and his friends.

** AdventureTimeWithFinnAndJake: A very fun, interesting show that turns concepts seemingly bland or cut-and-paste (ABoyAndHisDog SaveThePrincess, anyone?) and makes them funny, cool, and mathematical.
** RegularShow: Reminiscent of BeavisAndButthead, except Mordecai and Rigby are intelligent enough that you can ''relate'' to them as well. In fact, my best friend and I ''are'' them! *covers up crushed left buttock with tail*
* FamilyGuy: ''Funny.'' There's episodes I don't care for, just like with any show, but this is a severely underrated show in my opinion (I mean, it's popular among the LowestCommonDenominator type audience, but I'm talking about when actually intelligent people tear it to shreds, which happens a lot. This is just a funny show, rarely to be taken seriously. But yet, you still like the characters and their interactions... well, I do, anyway...
* {{Futurama}}: This show is flawless. It originated some of the most quotable lines in TV history; reflected quite well by the impressive number of {{tropes}} on ThisVeryWiki it has [[TropeNamer named.]] Go look at its "Moments" pages for several examples of why this show kicks your favorite show's ''ass.'' ''Which it doesn't have!'' Gwah-hah-heh-heh-heh!! [[note]]Unless your favorite show is also Futurama, in which case perfectly symmetrical violence never solved anything (see?! see how quotable?!).[[/note]]

** AvatarTheLastAirbender: When this show first came out, I judged it for being anime-inspired in its artistic style. I've always kind of felt that tons of AnimeAndManga, as well as other art inspired by them, is all kind of done [[OsamuTezuka in the same style]] or is all DragonballZ-ish or something. I no longer think this about ''all,'' just quite a bit. Anyway, my buddy Tropers/TheBrenMAN recently showed me all the episodes of this in order, and it turns out that I ''reeeeeally'' friggin' like it. I regret missing the original run, but at the same time I'm excited to be a fan in time for the sequel series.

** TheRenAndStimpyShow: A mostly forgotten Nicktoon, but it has its downright hilarious moments. The adult show sucks, though.
** {{Rugrats}}: This show is really funny, interesting, well-written, and charming; I personally think it deserved its rather long run (by Nickelodeon standards especially; where shows have the cancellation version of GeorgeJetsonJobSecurity).
** {{SpongeBob Squarepants}}: The first three seasons are extremely funny and memorable, in my opinion at least.
* SouthPark: A show that varies wildly in many aspects, but generally entertaining, funny, and... informative. If you don't like it at all, it's probably because you're dealing with a member of its FanDumb (boy, does it have one, there are ''so'' many people who don't actually get it but think they do).

** TheLionKing: Probably the first movie I saw and one of my favorites [[NostalgiaFilter by default]], even if it's a [[KimbaTheWhiteLion ripoff.]]
** ThePrincessAndTheFrog: This movie has been called "not up to par" by my sister, but I think it's right up there with the [[TheRenaissanceAgeOfAnimation Renaissance era]] Disney movies, which I guess they were shooting for. It fixes the problem of Disney's princes and princesses being shallow, simplistic characters completely. They tried it with [[{{Aladdin}} Jasmine]] first, and still did a good job, but I think Tiana is possibly Disney's most developed female lead. The plot is also very distinct from the source material, which has become more and more typical of Disney, but that's to be encouraged.

** ToyStory: A nostalgic movie and one that brings its CGI characters to life in the best possible way, from the [[HeartwarmingMoments sweet beginning]] to the [[TearJerker very]] BittersweetEnding.
** TheIncredibles: This movie deserves special mention for how unique it is from other Pixar and Disney movies... I never would've expected the right to die to be a topic seriously portrayed in such a movie, and this also probably has the highest ParentalBonus count.

* {{NES}}: This system itself will always be my favorite. I grew up playing it, even though its popularity was before my time (I was born the same year the last games were coming out for it). At the time I wanted a newer system, but it passes the NostalgiaFilter ''[[InvaderZim smoooothleh]]''. Aside from that, it saved us from the [[TheGreatVideoGameCrashOf1983 Crash]], [[Game/MegaMan ma]][[IncrediblyLamePun n!!]] Its ''[[SturgeonsLaw good]]'' games also have essentially infinite replay value. Although, the best games are now considered [[SeinfeldIsUnfunny as bland as Seinfeld is unfunny]], so it's kind of hard to describe the appeal of these games to a gamer of this generation.
** {{Kirby}}: Kirby's Adventure, the one that's ''for'' NES, to be specific. [[NostalgiaFilter I don't think they duplicated it well for the remake]], so if you've only played Nightmare in Dreamland... sucks for you; [[TheyChangedItNowItSucks you're not getting the real experience.]]
** Game/MegaMan: I was late to this one (9 was my first game) but became addicted to it. I listen to its music a lot, too.
** SuperMarioBros: The whole series.
*** SuperMarioBros3: This one gets ''special'' special mention for being my favorite game. Its numerous suits and varied worlds makie it a fun experience, and has pretty good music too.

* DaydreamBeliever: The fact that fictional characters aren't real changes little about how I feel about them. If a series follows logic well enough that I can relate to anything about it (which isn't hard), the characters are real enough to me. I cry at the TearJerkers and feel happy at the HeartwarmingMoments.

* EverythingsCuterWithKittens: LOVE THEEEM <333

* AnimationAgeGhetto: Oooooooooohh. Yes. That was me steaming with rage. This trope is just plain terrible. It seems that the vast majority of animation is "family" entertainment, yes, but people seem to think that for adults to enjoy something "family"-oriented, it needs to have "mature themes," which in my experience tends to mean either HighOctaneNightmareFuel, sex, or some other taboo thing. I can't escape the feeling that when someone says that certain movies are too juvinile, they're talking about the fact that its subject matter isn't [[TrueArtIsAngsty angsty]] or [[TrueArtIsOffensive offensive]] enough, but the same movie not animated wouldn't seem like a kid movie to them.
* CloserToEarth: I think more feminists need to be made aware of this very prevalent trope.

* PedoHunt: I ''hate hate hate'' how pedophiles are not treated as people. I already know what you're thinking. "{{Squick}}!" right? Well, I mean the ones that DON'T MOLEST THEM. The suffix "-phile" doesn't imply molestation or depravity of any sort. It just means "love;" but used in the same "sexual attraction" sense as many other words with the suffix. Having a sexual attraction to something doesn't mean anyone's going to get hurt because of it. Hating pedophiles is no different from hating gays. I hate it the most when gay rights supporters hate pedophiles, because they're turning their back on their belief that one's sexual preference is beyond control.

* ThisTroper: I like the phrase itself, but it really annoys me when people on TroperTales ''insist'' upon using it past the first sentence, resulting in a full third-person entry in which only pronouns are used from then on, and my inner GrammarNazi just wants to push a BigRedButton to turn them all into first-person simultaneously. Isn't it confusing? Consider how much easier this was on your inner GrammarNazi than this: "This troper likes the phrase itself, but it really annoys him when people on TroperTales ''insist'' upon using it past the first sentence, resulting in a full third-person entry in which only pronouns are used from then on, and his inner GrammarNazi just wants to push a BigRedButton to turn them all into first-person simultaneously." It's even worse when they forget they're doing that halfway through and start using first-person ''then'', but leave in the "his" and "hers."

* {{Bone}}: I composed a lengthy symphony of gushing on this in "GushingAboutShowsYouLike" a while back. Go check that out if you wanna see (mine will probably be the only one on Bone, or the longest).

* ClassicDisneyShorts: I've described this as "the best animation can get."
** LonesomeGhosts: The short that made me decide that ClassicDisneyShorts were the best animation can get.
* DisneyAnimatedCanon: Friggin' LOVE Disney, and Walt Disney himself is something of a role model to me (even though I'm nothing like him, really, and it's not likely I ever will be, but I think anyone who wants to entertain should look up to him some).
** {{Aladdin}}: Great songs, appealing characters, and funny.
** BeautyAndTheBeast: Pretty much right in the center of Disney's renaissance; and it shows. It's got great songs, great animation, and something about Gaston is really funny, too (probably why YoutubePoop that features him tends to be good).

I seem to have been an early bloomer in the puberty department, so when I was about 12-14, I thought "just wait for it, wait for it..." I'm 17 now, and still not interested in real sex, but might be getting there. Nonetheless, my fat ass isn't getting any.

* LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters: Since I tend to cross over characters from my various series, I am this.

* StoutStrength: I'm fat, but yet I seem to have the strength of someone who's, well, not. There's been times where I assume someone else is a lot more athletic/fit than I am, only to beat them in both a race ''and'' arm-wrestling. But when it comes to people who actually ''are'' athletic, they kick my ass at that stuff.

And I don't mean anime isn't art, I mean the way people use it in AMVs isn't art. It may as well be called "animated music video" anyway, even as it is, because the whole "anime is not animation" distinction kind of annoys me in general.
