* HeroicMime: To me it's just an excuse to make a boring protagonist and not even bother to write dialogue for them. It doesn't even help increase immersion because, y'know, I talk in real life. If you want me to imagine I'm the character, let me pick dialogue options that reflect me instead. And if it's one of those characters who are inexplicably silent (i.e. they don't even have speech you don't get to see/hear, and don't suffer from muteness in-universe), all this trope accomplishes is ''hurting'' my immersion.

* ThemeAndVariationsSoundtrack: When overdone, it makes the soundtrack repetitive and monotonous. In particular, I really dislike its use in ''VideoGame/YoshisCraftedWorld'', whose soundtrack had too many boring remixes of the main theme, and used it in level themes where it felt out of place. This was especially disappointing because ''VideoGame/YoshisWoollyWorld'' had much more varied and fun music. And no, the fact that this stupid trope was apparently used in earlier ''Yoshi'' games doesn't make it any better!

It doesn't help that they appear in nearly every world for some reason, breaking up a series of levels with more enjoyable settings and usually feeling out of place.

* AngstAversion: If I consider checking out a work, I often check the type of ending in advance because I don't like spending a lot of time getting into a work that will just depress me in the end anyway.

* ArtifactTitle: My username is kind of outdated.
** My username was derived from the song title "Healing Vision (Angelic Mix)" (the banner writes it with tildes and not parentheses) from VideoGame/DanceDanceRevolution. I chose it many years ago because I wanted to join a [=DDR=] forum and needed a username. However, I never joined because I was too shy. I decided to return later because I thought the forum and the community would always be there. I was wrong. When I tried to come back some years later, [=DDR=] had been declared DeaderThanDisco. However, I kept the username to remind myself to always join the fun before it's too late.

** I mostly add examples to works I like or concepts I find interesting.

If I can't edit it, I'll usually forgive it because I understand what the author meant anyway. However, if the writing looks like TheyJustDidntCare (as in several spelling errors a sentence, consistently writing "u" for "you", no punctuation or capitalization, etc.), on the other hand... * LuckyCharmsTitle: Zig-zagged. From the most to the least preferable version, my username can be written "Maths ~Angelic Version~", "Maths -Angelic Version-", "Maths (Angelic Version)", "Maths Angelic Version", or "[=MathsAngelicVersion=]". I accept all of them. You can also just call me "Maths".

* BigBoosHaunt: I think these are the least enjoyable [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Mario]] levels because I dislike the atmosphere and because these levels often rely on annoying tricks and gimmicks. It doesn't help that they tend to appear in nearly every world for some reason, usually feeling out of place as their atmosphere is always the same, regardless of what VideogameSetting it's in.
* BroughtDownToNormal: When it happens to a protagonist that had cool and/or useful powers, I find it pretty sad.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome
* {{Deconstruction}}: Unless it deconstructs something I don't like. I want fiction because it's ''not'' reality. I want fiction because X is possible in fiction, but not in reality. I don't want fiction because I want to know what kind of stupid tragic consequences X would have in RealLife. Or, in the words of Tropers/{{Cliche}}: "Lol, tropes are stupid. I'm so edgy." It's more of a complaint about the ''use'' of the word "deconstruction", but you get the idea.
* DebateAndSwitch: An annoying type of WriterCopOut. If you have the courage to portray a moral dilemma, ''please'' have the courage to resolve it properly.
* {{Determinator}} when subverted and the determinator suddenly gives up for a stupid reason.
* DownerEnding, SuddenDownerEnding, ShaggyDogStory, ShootTheShaggyDog, etc.: As from the explanation why ShootTheShaggyDog is one of SturgeonsTropes: "You can tell a grim story about life's futility that audiences will find effective and moving, but usually, audiences will feel that you wasted their time with pointless, depressing crap." My version of that: "You can tell a tragic story that I find moving, but most of the time, I'll fell that you wasted my time with pointless, depressing crap."
** Basically, I dislike unnecessary Downer Endings. An unnecessary Downer Ending fulfills both of these conditions:
*** It was caused by a DiabolusExMachina and/or could have been avoided without a DeusExMachina.
*** It's not necessary for the message of the work or contributes to a message I don't like.
* EasilyForgiven: Can be heartwarming, but usually comes across as the creator(s) simply being too lazy to make Alice (who forgives Bob) actually feel the grief and anger associated with the loss that Bob has caused her.
* EurekaMoment: Feels like an AssPull or a DeusExMachina when done badly.

* GeniusBookClub: When their intelligence is shown by reading "classics" like Shakespeare. I swear, I'll never understand why reading a fictional story about two stupid lovers that end up dying implies that you're smart. However, I do understand when they read science or something like that.
* GiftOfTheMagiPlot: I know it's supposed to be heartwarming, but I just find it stupid.
* HonorBeforeReason: Two words: SkewedPriorities
* IGaveMyWord: A character wanting to ruin their life because of a stupid promise that doesn't accomplish anything positive is a serious flaw in my eyes. Unfortunately, few works seem to agree with this.

** Not the "trope" itself, but critics throwing out Mary Sue accusations as soon as a character shows anything that resembles a positive/cool/fun/interesting/unique trait/possession. The DoubleStandard with female characters getting this more often than male characters certainly doesn't help.

* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome: Not an awesome moment itself, obviously, but an awesome moment that is negated later (for instance a Determinator giving a speech about how they'll never give up, only to give up five minutes later for a stupid reason). Once I've seen the invalidation(s), knowing that it's coming sours the awesome moment every time I see it.
* NoEnding: I got into this stupid thing because I wanted a resolution!
* ReadingIsCoolAesop: Unless it's a rare example about characters appreciating something that isn't novels. See GeniusBookClub.
* UnderTheSea: Most of the time, I end up getting annoyed by the swimming controls.
* YouAreWorthHell: Because of the huge chance that the sacrifice won't be worth it and the character fails to realize that.

* BerserkButton:
** I have quite a few, but I'm GenreSavvy enough not to tell you what they are.
** However, it's no secret that I ''really'' hate ''Disney/{{Tangled}}''. Let's just say that it pushed Berserk Buttons I didn't even know I had.
** Another semi-obvious one is when someone claims that video games are sub-par entertainment because BlahBlahBlah, and novels are so much better because BlahBlahBlah. This began when, as a "gamer", I was informed directly and indirectly (such as school focusing on books and never video games) that books were superior to games. This annoyed and frustrated me a lot because it was unfair to games and gamers. [[NiceJobBreakingItHero I believe that trying too hard to distance myself from these opinions made me a reluctant reader in the first place]].

* BigBoosHaunt: I think these are the least enjoyable [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Mario]] levels because I dislike the atmosphere and because these levels often rely on annoying tricks and gimmicks. It doesn't help that they tend to appear in nearly every world for some reason. They usually feel out of place as their atmosphere is always the same, regardless of if you're in a ShiftingSandLand, JungleJapes or BubblyClouds.

* {{Deconstruction}}: Unless it deconstructs something I don't like. I want fiction because it's ''not'' reality. I want fiction because X is possible in fiction, but not in reality. I don't want fiction because I want to know what kind of stupid tragic consequences X would have in RealLife.
** Or, in the words of Tropers/{{Cliche}}: "Lol, tropes are stupid. I'm so edgy." It's more of a complaint about the ''use'' of the word "deconstruction", but you get the idea.

* YouAreWorthHell: Because of the huge chance that the sacrifice won't be worth it and the character fails to realize that.

* GrammarNazi: Downplayed, as I try to get rid of my grammar nazi tendencies. I think being a Grammar Nazi is impolite at times. If I find a mistake somewhere I can edit it, I usually do. If I can't edit it, I'll usually forgive it because I understand what the author meant anyway. However, if the writing looks like TheyJustDidntCare (as in several spelling errors a sentence, consistently writing "u" for "you", no puntuation or capitalization, etc.), on the other hand...
