Comments Beagle made at SDCC 2006 and the new 2015 release of the film on DVD clarify that he ceased considering it a \"lesser work\" decades ago. He still considers it to have been a creatively taxing on. As far as Christopher Lee as live action Haggard goes, even before the performer\'s passing, he made it clear multiple times that neither his agent nore himself were never approached by the right\'s holders.
