** The prequels in fact used more practical effects than the originals did, with ''Film/ThePhantomMenace'' exceeding the total models and miniatures created for the original trilogy. The originals likewise used a great deal of post-processed effects works and actors complained about the loneliness of being in front of blue-screen, with Creator/MarkHamill finding the Dagobah shoot with Yoda especially exhausting. Much of the arguments used against the prequels applies equally, and more strongly, to the originals.
** Their attempts at casting Lucas as a blinkered or clueless figure who depends more on collaborators isn't true either since the Rinzler's books revealed a great deal of pragmatic and creative work Lucas did on all three of the original films, and that much of the "natural" work credited to collaborators (such as the casting and chemistry of the leads) was deliberately done by Lucas (he cast Luke, Leia and Han based on several actors interacting with each other to see who had the right chemistry) and planned by him.
