* GodNeverSaidThat: While it was rumoured that she lobbied hard for a crossover with ''Wild Force'', co-showrunnet Jackie Marchand confirmed that she didn't, though did confirm that there were almost plans but wasn't the one who suggested said crossover.

* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** Very early materials suggested that the rivalry between the Wind and Thunder Rangers was supposed to play out a lot longer than it did (and possibly be the central conflict of the series, rather than a traditional villain), with kids even being encouraged to pick sides for themselves.
** The Tori character may well have become a carbon copy of her ''Hurricanger'' counterpart (aspiring IdolSinger Nanami) had Creator/EmmaLahana, who auditioned for this role before becoming Kira in [[Series/PowerRangersDinoThunder the following season]], gotten the part instead of Sally Martin.
** According to Doug Sloan, he wanted to avert TheSmurfettePrinciple by doing a GenderFlip of one of the Rangers (most likely not Red or Yellow), but Disney vetoed it. Had this happened, then we might've seen the first female non-Yellow Ranger with a male Sentai counterpart.
** As noted above in "Unfinished Episode", a ''Wild Force'' crossover. Interestingly, unlike with ''Reinforcements from the Future'', they would've been able to use stock footage, as there was a crossover between the two sentai teams, so presumably the costs from moving the cast of ''Wild Force'' to New Zealand for filming wouldn't have been offset by what they could've saved using stock footage.
** Whether or not Amit Bhaumik's (who was the head writer for Wild Force, and, had Disney not acquired the franchise and moved production to New Zealand, would have likely stayed on for the following season) ambitious plans for [[https://amitbhaumik.tumblr.com/post/38658236644/hexagon Hexagon]] could have even gotten off the ground, the very concept would have resulted in a VERY different season.

* TooSoon: "Snip It, Snip It Good" was delayed from its original air date due to then-recent outbreak of the Iraq War as it was felt that the original plot concerning a peace conference to try and avert a war was inappropriate. The show did finally air later with the peace conference substituted for an environmental conference.

* CharacterOutlivesActor: Pua Magasiva (Shane) unexpectedly died on May 11, 2019 when he was just 38 years old. Much like with Trini above, it's unknown if this also marks the death of Shane in-universe as well, but it means we most likely will never see him on-screen again (while a major crossover may have all the Ninja Storm Rangers, there will likely be no confirmation who's wearing the red suit).
