** Howard Stark has been played by three different actors in his first three film appearances (Gerard Sanders in ''Iron Man'', John Slattery in ''Iron Man 2'', and Creator/DominicCooper in ''Captain America: The First Avenger''). Slattery and Cooper cross over into TimeShiftedActor, as Cooper portrays Howard Stark as a young man (''First Avenger'' and ''Series/AgentCarter'') while Slattery portrays Howard from middle age onwards (''Film/IronMan2'', ''Film/AntMan1'', ''Film/CaptainAmericaCivilWar'', ''Film/AvengersEndgame'').
** Creator/ZacharyLevi replaced Creator/JoshDallas as Fandral thanks to his commitments to ''Series/OnceUponATime'' which is a reversal of TheOtherMarty, as Creator/ZacharyLevi was originally cast as Fandral in ''Thor'' but couldn't because of ''Chuck'' related scheduling conflicts.
** Creator/JoshBrolin portrays Thanos from ''Guardians of the Galaxy'' onwards, after Damon Poitier played him for his brief cameo at the end of ''The Avengers''.
** Edwin Jarvis (Howard Stark's butler in ''Series/AgentCarter'') and JARVIS (Tony Stark's AI in the ''Film/IronMan'' movies) are technically variations on the same person, in that the latter's voice and personality are based on the former. However, they're played by different actors (Creator/JamesDArcy in the TV show, Paul Bettany in the films).
** Creator/RossMarquand replaced Creator/HugoWeaving in the role of Red Skull, starting with ''Film/AvengersInfinityWar''. To his credit, though, it is ''very'' unnoticeable due to the heavy Red Skull makeup, dark shading in all his scenes, and Marquand's spot-on impersonation of Weaving's voice and mannerisms.
** Creator/KathrynNewton will be replacing Emma Fuhrmann as Cassie Lang in ''Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania'' following the latter playing her in ''Endgame''. Fuhrmann technically also replaced Abby Ryder Fortson, who portrayed Cassie in the first two ''Ant-Man'' films, but that was a case of TimeShiftedActor.
** With the passing of Creator/WilliamHurt, his role of Thaddeus Ross was taken over by Creator/HarrisonFord, starting in ''Captain America: New World Order''.
** In Season 7 of ''Series/AgentsOfSHIELD'', Nathaniel Malick is portrayed by Thomas E. Sullivan, replacing Creator/JoelCourtney who portrayed the character in Season 3.
** In the French dub of ''Film/ThorLoveAndThunder'', Gabriel Le Doze replaced the late Creator/JacquesFrantz (who passed away in 2021) as Dr. Erik Selvig.

** Creator/MartinStarr plays a bit Part as a pizza-loving computer geek in ''Film/{{The Incredible Hulk|2008}}'' and teacher Mr. Harrington in ''Film/SpiderManHomecoming''. Kevin Feige has [[https://comicbook.com/marvel/2019/05/16/spider-man-far-from-home-incredible-hulk-mcu-connections-martin-starr-roger-harrington confirmed]] that Harrington and the geek are the same character.

** In 2023, long-time executive Victoria Alonso was fired due to her protesting against higher-ups in Disney removing LGBTQ references in ''Film/AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania''. Notably, Kevin Feige didn't intervene in the decision due to him being incensed by Alonso's actions, as he maintains a strict policy on not speaking out against the companies they work with.

* CreatorsOddball: Marvel Studios has gone out of its way to hire unexpected directors because of their previous work, like Creator/KennethBranagh for ''{{Film/Thor}}'', Creator/JossWhedon for ''Film/{{The Avengers|2012}}'' or Joe and Anthony Russo for ''Film/CaptainAmericaTheWinterSoldier'', as well as adapting properties that previously weren't very famous, like ComicBook/IronMan or the ComicBook/GuardiansOfTheGalaxy.

** According to the biographical book ''MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios'', Creator/BrieLarson became increasingly disillusioned with her work at Marvel, primarily due to the harassment she received online for playing Carol Danvers that targeted ''Film/CaptainMarvel2019'' and subsequent appearances of the character. That said, she's still active in the franchise, indicating she still has some love for her role, though the book's claims appear to be corroborated by an interview in which, when asked how long would she be in the role, a seemingly forlorn Larson replied "I don't know. Does anyone want me to do it again?"

** According to the biographical book "The Reign of Marvel Studios", Creator/BrieLarson became increasingly disillusioned with her work at Marvel, primarily due to the harassment she received online for playing Carol Danvers. That said, she's still active in the franchise, indicating she still has some love for her role.

** Both Creator/KevinFeige and Creator/ScarlettJohansson were unhappy with Disney's decision to release ''Film/{{Black Widow|2021}}'' simultaneously in theaters and on Creator/DisneyPlus (although Disney had [[UsefulNotes/COVID19Pandemic reasonable grounds in doing so]]). It got to the point where Johansson filed a lawsuit against Disney for a breach of contract.

** Creator/NataliePortman did not particularly enjoy working on ''Film/ThorTheDarkWorld'' and tried dropping out after her preferred director left the project and said negative things about her Marvel experience to the press. Since then she has dubbed over some archive footage of herself in ''Film/AvengersEndgame'', and is ended up appearing in ''Film/ThorLoveAndThunder'' and ''What If...?'', having a much more positive experience with both projects.

** Creator/HugoWeaving wasn't outright ''negative'' about his role as Red Skull, but nonetheless admitted that he had grown tired of blockbuster roles in general and cited Red Skull as an example. By 2016, however, he has grown to look back on it more fondly. [[spoiler:However, when he was offered to reprise the role in ''Infinity War'', Weaving decided to decline, leading to Ross Marquand taking his place.]]

** Like Namor, ''Man-Thing'' was once in a similar position, where he was initially owned by Creator/{{Lionsgate}}, but the company wasn't interested in making another solo film with the character unless they could reap a portion of the rewards. This got more complicated when Man-Thing was mentioned in an episode of ''Series/AgentsOfSHIELD'', and given that no statement has been made regarding the character, it's completely ambiguous as to who owns the property. Although, given the lack of any comment from Lionsgate regarding a reboot or a sequel, it can be inferred that the rights quietly reverted to Marvel, which is supported by the character appearing in Marvel's Disney+ Halloween special ''Film/WerewolfByNight''.

** According to the novel "''MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios''", Creator/KevinFeige has stipulated that Creator/EdwardNorton and Creator/JossWhedon are not to return to or be involved in any future MCU works. The reason for Norton's exile is due to the CreativeDifferences and attempted ExecutiveMeddling in ''Film/{{The Avengers|2012}}'', while Whedon's is likely due to his involvement in ''Series/AgentsOfSHIELD''; a series which Feige was reportedly not particularly happy with.

** Of all the non-Disney+ TV shows that were produced by Marvel Entertainment, ''Series/{{Inhumans}}'' is the Marvel's biggest regret by far. Due to Ike Perlmutter's efforts to get an adaptation of ''Inhumans'' made as quick as possible in spite of Creator/KevinFeige's disinterest, on top of the show receiving a large amount of backlash from both critics and audiences alike once it actually came out, Marvel Studios did everything in their power to distance themselves from it for quite awhile. ''Inhumans'' was apparently so awful that Marvel no longer sets any of their shows/movies in Hawaii because of lingering tension. With that said, there seems to be some leniency towards ''Inhumans'', as the show is currently listed under the Disney+ catalog and out of left field [[spoiler:in ''Film/DoctorStrangeInTheMultiverseOfMadness'', Creator/AnsonMount [[RoleReprise returns]] as [[UnexpectedCharacter Black Bolt]], albeit an alternate variant of said character]].

* TroubledProduction: There was a lot of conflict between the film and television studios until Marvel Television got folded in with the larger production. Because they were independent operations, they didn't have to coordinate and they went in different directions. As a result, the early TV shows are of dubious canonicity.

** Creator/ChloeBennet has become very fed up with how little contact ''Agents of SHIELD'' and the other TV shows have with the movies. It's been implied that this is also the case with quite a few other people involved with the shows, though she's so far the only one who's dared to say so in public.
