** The moment Sengoku Astray appear fully as model kit, it earned the title Weeaboo Astray, being overtly Japanophile all around (even the name Gundam is written in Kanji)
** The GBF universe is also sometimes called "Gundam Valhalla" due to the numerous cameos of previously deceased Gundam characters being shown living happy and carefree lives.
** On certain {{Imageboards}}, the show is also called "Gunpla/Gundam Boy Friends" due to the abundance of shipping material, of both the HoYay and straight variety.
** Rainer Cziommer, due to his Wile E. Coyote tactic, is now know as "butt-hurt NTR guy" in Japan.
*** The alliance of pilots who attack Fellini in episode 11 was quickly dubbed "Team [[{{Netorare}} NTR]]", since their entire motivation was to exact revenge against Fellini for stealing their girlfriends (though he insists that they came on to him).
** Aila's Qubeley Papillon is slowly getting the nickname "Uberley" for being overpowered against other Gunpla that it faces.
** Nils Nielsen is now known as [=NiNiNi=] - for '''Ni'''nja '''Ni'''ls '''Ni'''elsen, which is what he becomes when he's not doing Gunpla fight.
** As soon as the Renato brothers started to snark [[spoiler:at Luang Dallara's defeat during the episode 17 stinger]], the western fandom quickly named them "the evil Lockon twins".

** Kirara's idol outfit is white and has pink hair which is tied in GirlishPigtails, not unlike [[Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica Madoka Kaname]], who is also voiced by Creator/AoiYuuki. (But Madoka is naturally pink-haired, it is later revealed that Mihoshi's natural hair color is purple and that she only wears a pink, twin-tail wig as Kirara.)

** Kirara's idol outfit is white and has pink hair which is tied in GirlishPigtails, not unlike [[Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica Madoka Kaname]], who is also voiced by Creator/AoiYuuki. (It is unknown what is Kirara's natural hair color, but Madoka is naturally pink haired for sure.)

** Rainer Cziommer, due to his Wild E. Coyote tactic, is now know as "butt-hurt NTR guy" in Japan.

** Alia is named for another CreepyChild from the {{Franchise/Dune}} series.

*** In an example that crosses with MythologyGag, Char is played by Creator/ToshihikoSeki in this short. While he's not [[Creator/ShuichiIkeda Char's most famous voice]], he ''has'' played the role before -- specifically, he plays [[TheRealRemingtonSteele the REAL Char Aznable]] in ''Manga/MobileSuitGundamTheOrigin''; appropriately enough, the Ballistic Zaku he pilots is built from the ''Origin'' version of Char's Zaku II, whereas the original Zaku Amazing was built from the ''First Gundam'' version.

** In Episode 3, Mr. Ral's Gouf, from an older line of kits, is accurately depicted as being stiffer and less detailed than its modern counterparts. [[note]]this also matches the Gouf's animation in the original ''Anime/MobileSuitGundam'', making it strangely enough show accurate too![[/note]]
