Plagiarism from Shannon Sullivan.

** In Creator/StevenMoffat's original conception, the Doctor would explicitly identify the time rift in his tomb on Trenzalore as leading back to the final day of the Time War. Once Clara had been splintered and scattered throughout the Doctor's life, he didn't enter the rift to save her. Instead, Clara emerged from it on her own, but then started screaming about knowing who the Doctor really is. This convinced the Doctor to return to the Time War via the rift, leading into the anniversary special.

* AllThereInTheScript: According to Creator/AlexKingston, in the script for the episode, the stage directions for the sequence in which River was to slap Vastra ended with "Good luck, Neve!", referring to the actress who played Vastra. Sure enough, an [[HilariousOuttakes outtake]] from the scene shows Kingston giving Neve [=McIntosh=] a slap that leaves the actress looking stunned.
* DoNotDoThisCoolThing: Behind the Scenes example: Creator/MattSmith relates that he and Creator/JennaColeman were told not to swing on the bars during the TARDIS's fall to Trenzalore. So what does Matt Smith go and do? Swing on the bars during the TARDIS's fall to Trenzalore.

* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Creator/MattSmith's contract had actually ended with this series, meaning he had to go through the usual guest star negotiations despite him having two episodes left to film. Yes, Jenna Coleman almost had to basically carry the entire 50th Anniversary Special by herself.

i think this belongs on the 50th anniversary special, not season 7?

* TakeThat: A [[StealthPun stealth]] one, though probably unintentional. In the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Em8lmmTNkA bonus video of Tennant and Smith]], Tennant mentions that the pressures of playing The Doctor are still 89% wonderful. That would make the other bit, the negative parts, 11%. He's talking with Smith, of course, who plays the 11th Doctor.
