** Somewhat subverted. The arcade version has been widely parallel-imported into several Asian countries outside of Japan. Even then the online and e-Amusement functions work (read: no IP geolocation restrictions). These parallel imported machines are even capable of downloading new music from Konami's servers without issues. The only concern the player has is getting an e-Amusement card (which the arcades with the machine also imports and sells).
