* ScrewedByTheLawyers: Somewhat subverted. The show was actually a very popular in it's heyday and pulling in some good ratings. But then the writer's strike hit and that stifled production before someone claimed that Andre had stole his idea for the series that he had failed to pitch to Cartoon Network and filed a lawsuit. While the case was thrown out because said person couldn't really provide proof that the idea was plagiarized from him. This, along with the whole bomb scare that came about to promote the then upcoming Aqua Teen movie, the then Cartoon Network president Jim Samples stepping down because of it, and financial issues pretty much dogpiled the series into cancellation. So really it was less layers and more "Screwed by bad PR and timing".

actually the show got cancelled due to low ratings, the copyright suit had nothing to do with the show's cancellation as the judge ruled in favor of Andre and it was determined that he did not in fact steal the idea for the show

* ScrewedByTheLawyers: The show was cancelled because of both the budget problems and because someone named Timothy [=McGee=] sued Andre 3000 for copyright infringement. He claimed in 1997, he proposed a similar idea called "The Music Factory of the '90s" to the vice president of Cartoon Network. The 2007 Writer's Strike didn't help either.
