* DistancedFromCurrentEvents: The episode "Flu-ouise", whose A-plot involves Louise getting a flu, was pulled from Adult Swim's rerun rotation in 2020, due to the ongoing UsefulNotes/COVID19Pandemic. In October of that year, however, the episode returned to the regular rerun rotation.

** Many of the show's lines are improvised (in Season 1, one can even slightly hear voice actors {{corpsing}} in the background), allowing the humor and conversation to feel much more natural. The second half of Season 11 had to largely forego this due to several voice actors recording from home as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

* CharacterOutlivesActor: A minor example, but in Season 12's "[[Recap/BobsBurgersS12E8StuckInTheKitchenWithYou Stuck in the Kitchen with You]]", Tina mentions that Meryl Winters from "[[Recap/BobsBurgersS6E18SecretAdmiralIrer Secret Admiral-irer]]" has moved out of the Elegant Doily retirement home but is still alive. Meryl's voice actress, Creator/ClorisLeachman, died eleven months before "Stuck in the Kitchen with You" originally aired.

* PlayingGertrude: Born in 1981, Dan Mintz, the voice of eldest child Tina, is actually the youngest of the main cast; Eugene Mirman (middle child Gene) and Kristen Schaal (youngest child Louise) are both older, born in 1974 and 1978, respectively.

* TalkingToHimself:
** Any time Bob and Jimmy Jr. (both voiced by H. Jon Benjamin) interact counts.
** Linda and Jocelyn (both voiced by John Roberts) have a brief interaction in "Gene It On". Roberts also voices Jocelyn's mother, meaning the few times Jocelyn's mother appears count as well.

* RoleEndingMisdemeanor: In December 2021, Jay Johnston (Jimmy Pesto) was fired from the show after it was discovered that he participated in the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol in January of that year.

* OutOfOrder: Several episodes differ from production order and airdate order. For the most part, this has basically no impact on the plot. There is one notable exception, however--"Gayle Makin' Bob Sled" aired before "The Cook, the Steve, the Gayle, & Her Lover", but takes place in the middle of a plotline first introduced in the latter episode (specifically Gayle's relationship with Mr. Frond).

** Big Bob (Bob's father) was voiced by H. Jon Benjamin in "Bob Fires the Kids" via flashback as he slowly realizes that he's putting his kids through the same conditions ''his'' father put ''him'' through. In "Father of the Bob," Big Bob debuts in-person, and is instead voiced by Creator/BillHader (who already does voice work on the show as Mickey the bank robber). Similarly, Al (Linda's father) was voiced by H. Jon Benjamin in "Crawl Space", but from "It Snakes a Village" onwards Al was voiced by Sam Seder (Hugo's voice actor).
