** Derrick Wyatt recently said that SuperIntelligence is ''not'' a common Transylian trait and that Frankenstrike doesn't possess it. Then Frankenstrike's ''Omniverse'' debut has him demonstrating mechanical knowledge Ben lacks, shorting out a car battery to stop a car.

** Many, ''many'' fans had guessed that the reason Ben doesn't use Feedback anymore [[spoiler:was because Malware had a part in it, most guessing that he flat-out ''destroyed'' the form, which is exactly what he did in "Showdown, Part 1"]].
** Many predicted that there would be a parody of the HaremAnime genre due to so many girls being attracted to Ben. [[HilariousInHindsight Guess what "Rules of Engagement" is about?]]

* CreatorBacklash: Derrick J. Wyatt came to dislike his experience working on the show due to both [[ScrewedByTheNetwork how the network screwed the show over]] and the [[BrokenBase widely divided reception among fans that]] [[{{Sequelitis}} eclipsed of previous installments.]]

* WriteWhoYouKnow: Bezel's opinions on magic, at least according to [[TheWikiRule the Ben 10 Wiki]], echo Matt Youngberg's, indicating that Bezel was written with some of Matt's personality in mind.

* CreatorsPest: Derrick J. Wyatt has stated that he finds Fasttrack to be the lamest of Ben's aliens due to being [[SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute too similar to XLR8]] and [[RubberForeheadAliens looking too human]]. Fasttrack is one of the few aliens featured in ''Ultimate Alien'' to not make an appearance in ''Omniverse'', not even as a cameo in "A New Dawn", which featured a cameo from nearly every other alien.

* CrossDressingVoices: In Pesky Dust's first appearance ("Outbreak"), this was averted. It is played straight from "For A Few Brains More" onward.
** Played straight with professor Xagliv, who's voiced by Creator/SteveBlum.

* TalkingToHimself: Creator/JuddNelson voices both Ben 10,000 and Eon. It's also a literal example, because Eon is an alternate and evil version of Ben.

* OutOfOrder: Several episodes have been aired out of order, such as "Store 23", which is chronologically set after "Showdown" yet aired before it.

** In "The Frogs of War: Part 2", we meet Ben's new form [[spoiler: Bullfrag]], who is wearing some very familiar looking sunglasses (not to mention Creator/YuriLowenthal's character's association with [[{{VideoGame/Persona 4}} a frog]]).
** In "Ben Again", Ben admits to Paradox the idea of a Time War is awesome. Maybe minor and another thing that makes Professor Paradox a ''Series/DoctorWho'' {{Expy}}, but Ben's reaction might have to do with his teenage self's voice actor is admitting to being a "Whovian".
** In "Showdown Part 1", Ben gives a vague explanation that he used to like Feedback so much because he felt like he was part of him. Teenage Ben and Feedback are both voiced by the same actor.
** Malware is a malevolent, computer-based villain whose goals essentially amount to world domination, much like ComicBook/{{Brainiac}}, Superman's most well-known arch-nemesis and one of Creator/CoreyBurton's most well-known roles.
** In "Showdown Part 2", [[spoiler:after being absorbed into Malware, Ben has a flashback to the past when his younger self was moping about losing Feedback. At the end of the flashback, his younger self confronts him and present Ben forgives himself for losing Feedback, thus regaining Feedback in reality and escaping Malware. This is rather similar to his voice actor's role as [[VideoGame/{{Persona 4}} Yosuke Hanamura]] facing his shadow and gaining his Persona.]]
** The sweater Darkstar wears as [[spoiler:Dante]] is similar to one worn by [[Series/StarTrekTheNextGeneration Wesley Crusher]].
** Watchless Ben being referred to as a Wild Card, just like another [[VideoGame/Persona3 protagonist]] that Yuri Lowenthal voiced.
** As noted by the show's [[TheWikiRule official wiki]], Clyde Fife is basically ''Film/NapoleonDynamite'' as a Ben 10 character.

* CastingGag: Fistina is played by Morgan Lofting. Fistina is an {{Expy}} of Crasher from ''WesternAnimation/ChallengeOfTheGoBots'', the [=GoBots=] were an infamous competitor with the Franchise/{{Transformers}} franchise, and Morgan Lofting voiced the female Autobot Moonracer in the [[WesternAnimation/TheTransformers Generation 1 Transformers cartoon]] episode "The Search for Alpha Trion".

It's not a contradiction because we've not seen ''either'' way, but basically... by this point it's clear that Youngberg and Wyatt didn't make a show that would make absolutely ''no'' sense at all if you missed a single Formspring post of his and were foolish enough to [[SarcasmMode take past episodes into account or something]], which is what many people feared would be the case.

* PromotedFanboy: While Derrick got to do some design work on the previous sequels ([=SevenSeven=], the Vreedles), he makes it clear that he's glad to work as the main art designer on his Formspring.

* FranchiseKiller: While the show technically had better ratings than ''Alien Force'' and ''Ultimate Alien'', its toy sales were low and the fanbase had very divided feelings on its quality. Eventually, it ended up ScrewedByTheNetwork. Tellingly, the next entry of the franchise ultimately became the 2016 ContinuityReboot ''WesternAnimation/Ben102016'' than a sequel series.

** Creator/DavidKaye replaced Powers Boothe as Sunder due to ActorExistanceFailure. He also replaced Jeff Doucette as Thumbskull and Creator/TimCurry as Joseph Chadwick in ''An American Benwolf In London'', due to the latter having a stroke. He also replaced Creator/SteveBlum and Creator/DeeBradleyBaker as Heatblast and Creator/FredTatasciore and Baker as Cannonbolt.

** Edie [=McClurg=] replaced Miriam Flynn as Aunt Vera for her one appearance.

* ScrewedByTheNetwork: The show really got screwed in its final three seasons during the year of 2014 through getting bumped to a weekday 6AM EST timeslot aired daily, which began on October 6, 2014 (i.e the early morning shift where it trails right after ''Creator/AdultSwim'' meaning barely anyone will be awake to catch the episodes). This saw them burn off both the remaining seasons by November.
