* FranchiseKiller: ''ComicBook/SonicTheHedgehogArchieComics'' was ''the'' longest-running franchise-based comic series. However, two lawsuits, the lukewarm reception of ''ComicBook/SonicTheHedgehogMegaManWorldsUnite'', which heavily used characters from other franchises from Capcom and SEGA, Archie's "Riverdale Reborn" initiative and the advent of ''Series/{{Riverdale}}'' ultimately killed the series, which led to Creator/IDWPublishing getting the ''Sonic'' comic license. This has trickled down to Archie itself as the only titles still running consecutively is ''ComicBook/ArchieComics2015'' and the various digests. Only time will tell if this will turn into a CreatorKiller.

** Inverted, at least in Mexico and possibly the rest of Latin America, regarding the whole ''Archie'' franchise: To this date ''Archie'', together with the Creator/ArchieComics version of ''Franchise/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles''[[note]]and even then, they only published a few translated issues before canceling that version in the 90s[[/note]], is the only franchise by the company to be published in that region, since ''ComicBook/SonicTheHedgehogArchieComics'' has not been translated into Spanish.
