* WesternAnimation/Farzar: Sal the Taint is constantly being punched up by the writers as their attempt at a breakout character but most fans just find him annoying and stupid, since his only role in the show is to Padding waste screen time and bring down the plot with his long fourth-wall breaking tangents about how great of a character he is.

* WesternAnimation/ParadisePD:
** Dobby being an adorable little mutant who only says his own name is clearly the writers fishing for one of their characters to be a breakout character/series mascot but most fans think he's kind of forced, as he's not plot-relevant and his only purpose is to be funny, despite really only being able to provide one joke.
** Miss Whiskers is also this to some fans, being a one-trick pony with an annoying voice, who does nothing but make stupid sex puns and unfunny rhymes that are trying to be passed off as catchy and quotable. She was initially designed to just be a one-time character, as one joke was all she was useful for, but someone on the writing team decided to bring her back ... several times, to the point of majorly overusing her.

Cleanup. 1. The unintentional reason for hate are not their characters (it's others and the story). 2 They're more ignored and dismissed by fans than bought up as hated.

The Anodite situation is more considered a Broken Base, and their exclusion from Omniverse wasn't due to fan reception, it was due to Derrick J Wyatt openly disliking them and all but removing them.

** Anodites aren't a very well-received species due to what many saw as an incredibly confusing and pointless retcon concerning the existence of magic in the show's universe, with the species itself appearing to be completely overpowered. It doesn't help that the few representatives (Sunny and Verdona, though mostly Verdona for her admitted favoritism to Gwen and actually aggressively attacking her own grandson) weren't well-liked either. Omniverse toned down the Anodite aspect of Gwen's powers as a result, with more focus on the magic side of her powers, and Sunny, her EvilTwin cousin, reduced to only appearing in a harem episode.

** Chloe is despised by the fanbase for being a "perfect" character who everyone loves and Timmy has to share his fairies with. Fairies are only given to miserable kids, but Chloe's life is consistently shown to be perfect and there's no reason for her to have them. Not helping is that Chloe is a major or supporting character in every episode this season, has a shrill voice, and many of her lines are unnecessarily loud. She also tends to have disproportionate freak outs over incredibly minor problems.

However, he gets RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap in "Home ECCH!"; he is genuinely supportive of Squidina and actually helps her cook a recipe that she can't get right, and thus ends up saving her grade in her home ec class. They mainly show up for time-consuming filler segments where the only punchline is Quasar repeatedly suffering from Pat-Tron's stupidity, with the latter often making things worse than if he wasn't there. Quasar gets a deserved TakeThatScrappy in "The Patrick Show Sells Out", where Plankton takes control of Pat-Tron and proceeds to blast him with a laser and beat him into the ground. ** Katie Ka-Boom only had a few shorts of her ever made before the writers realizing she lacked potential as a character. The few shorts featuring Katie are so formulaic that they're almost indistinguishable -- Katie undergoes a RantInducingSlight, turns into some sort of monster, then literally explodes to cause devastation to the world around her. Much like the Hip Hippos, Katie Ka-Boom was quickly relegated to a side character after only a few appearances.

** The same thing happened to Katie Ka-Boom, though this may have had more to do with the writers realizing she lacked potential as a character. The few shorts featuring her are so formulaic that they're almost indistinguishable.
** Surprisingly, the 2020 reboot has an unexpected InUniverse example: [[spoiler: Chicken Boo. * Lila is widely disliked for two reasons: a reasonable one (she's "ever-so" irritating), and a... not-so-reasonable one (DieForOurShip in regards to Arnold/Helga, even though she repeatedly states she doesn't "LIKE like" Arnold and isn't a real threat to the ship, regardless of what Tsundere Helga might think). It doesn't help that she has a tendency to lead Arnold into thinking he may have a chance, only to crush his hopes when he asks if there's anything between them, but that was really a problem with the RomanticPlotTumor of later seasons as a whole and not just Lila. Lila ends up being DemotedToExtra after Arnold finally gets the hint and stops pursuing her in "Timberly Loves Arnold[=/=]Eugene, Eugene!" only appearing as a non-speaking background character in the subsequent episodes and both movies.
* Tied with Lila in this regard is Olga, Helga's older sister. The show established some HiddenDepths with her, however, it also made her a Hypocrite who goes out of her way to get her parents' attention. Not to mention she doesn't seem to grasp the extent of Helga's ParentalNeglect nor does she seem to follow through with promises she made to Helga. For example, when Olga becomes an assistant teacher for Helga's class, Helga pleaded with her to keep any embarrassing stories out. Olga either forgets or deliberately tells an embarrassing story to the class after Stinky fails a test.

* Sid. He is a FairWeatheredFriend who betrays everyone at the drop of a hat, makes fun of Harold and Patty like a JerkAss, and everyone forgets he pulls the same thing over, and over, and over again. Whenever Sid gets ADayInTheLimelight, it highlights how weird and off-kilter he is, and not in a likeable way either. "Bag of Money" is the most notable example of why Sid is often disliked.
